Bring your family for a summer vacation you will never forget in idyllic Lakeside! This lovingly cared for 1920 home in Lakeside will transport you back in time to a time where family and time together come first.

Our home is located directly adjacent to Cherry Park inside the gates of Lakeside. We offer 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, modern kitchen, updated spaces, outdoor patio, with room to sleep 11 in beds comfortably. Steps away from breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over Lake Erie. Relax and unwind after a day of activities on our private patio while you grill dinner! Plenty of parking.


We are close to everything that Lakeside has to offer. Just a few minute drive to ferries for Put in Bay, and Kelly's Island. Short drive to Cedar Point, downtown Marblehead, Port Clinton, Sandusky and all the fun on the lake. Beaches, fishing, boating....

During the summer season your stay gives you access to so much! Pool, splash pad, beach area, parks, sailing, paddleboards, fishing dock, basketball, tennis, pickleball, mini-golf, shuffleboard, art classes, seminars, movie theatre, ice cream, coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, all right here in Lakeside! There is something for all ages.

Bicycles, golf carts and walking are the main modes of transportation in Lakeside. We do have a golf cart for guests to rent. Please inquire! We provide bikes and scooters for guest use. We have 4 bikes suitable for kids over 10 or adults and 3 razor scooters.

We also provide tennis rackets, balls, pickle ball paddles and other outdoor toys.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE -

Your stay booked through VRBO does not include Lakeside Chautauqua per person, daily entrance/auto fees associated with entertainment and visiting this gated community.

When visiting Lakeside during the summer season, generally Memorial Day through Labor Day, all guests are required to purchase passes. Passes give you access to everything in Lakeside. Details are available on the Lakeside Ohio website. https://lakesideohio.com/directions/rules-regulations/

Rentals are a weekly minimum during summer Mid June-Labor Day. Shorter stays are available throughout the spring and fall.

Fantastic Family-Friendly Getaway by the Lake

Brian and Jaclyn's place served as an amazing "home base" during a long weekend vacation for myself, my wife, my brother, and my mom. Both Brian and Jaclyn were communicative throughout our visit, and the home itself -- which is inside the gates of Lakeside -- served our needs perfectly. It was our first family vacation in some time, and we hope to be back again soon!

Perfect Lakeside Retreat

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our first Lakeside experience. This cottage was very clean, roomy and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location was spectacular. We will definitely come again!

Family fun

11 of us went aged 8-74 and had a great time! Location was great, across from a park and an easy walk to the center. Cute house with lots of charm! Very clean and inviting. Brian was wonderful to work with. We love Lakeside and all it has to offer.

Lovely Lakeside Home

The accommodations were perfect for my husband and I and 4 grandkids. Everyone had their space. The owner was very responsive and made sure we were going to have a great stay. Plenty of dishes, cooking tools grill, etc.Loved riding bikes and also walking to parks. We rented a golf cart and highly recommend that. We’d stay here again if we’re up this way!

Fantastic and great place to stay

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The house had absolutely everything we could have needed. It was very clean and well appointed. It was so cool to be in a historic district house for the weekend. We especially enjoyed the back patio, fire pit and loved it they they provided bikes and scooters for our use. House is close to downtown shops and food. The host was was very helpful in answering questions and providing suggestions for our day activities. We will definitely be back next year!

The property itself is a sweet little early 20th Century house with a park across the street and just two blocks from Lake Erie. All that is good. The downside is that it is in Lakeside, a Chautauqua village that sees itself as a resort. We knew there were fees for staying at the house as it's within this community, but we were sticker-shocked by the 647.50 for the three-day stay for us five adults and our one vehicle.Truth is, if you would make use of the amenities, huge pool, tennis and pickleball courts, concerts, lectures, etc., it might be worth it. But we were there for a family reunion and spent almost no time at the house.The owners mention the passes in their description, but there would be greater transparency if they listed the price of those passes, or at least a link to it, within the property description.

Our family is in love with Lake Erie, the Lake Erie Islands and Lakeside! We have been vacationing here since before we were married! Our family is also a busy one with many activities and travels. So, we do not get to use our Lakeside cottage nearly as much as we would like but we do love sharing it with our guests.

We have always loved the community of Lakeside for everything it offers. It is truly a step back in time but also has every amenity you could want in a summer vacation. We had been searching for the right Lakeside home for many years. Once we stepped into this home we instantly fell in love with its timeless beauty. It was very apparent that all of the previous owners and vacationers cared for the home as much as we do! It is so close to everything you could want it was just perfect for us.

When you rent with us you deal directly with us, the owners, not some management company. We use the home ourselves and have been coming to the area for decades so we know all of the best places for dining, entertainment and family fun!
