Short stay

House was very clean with nice kitchen, comfortable beds and good AC. Perfect spot for us visiting family close by. I would stay there again for sure. It is not the most upscale neighborhood but seemed perfectly safe and easy to access.

Comfortable stay at a great location.

Comfortable stay. Everything was as advertised. Owner graciously allowed us to check in early which was a great help. When the TV remote stopped working, owner instacarted us a new one within the hour.Location is unbeatable.

My oldest daughter loved the sunroom. Luke was cordial. It is located in a moderately quiet neighborhood.

Great rental

Excellent size home. All of the rooms and spaces are very open. Very clean home that’s centrally located in Wilmington and close to the beaches. Excellent communication with the host with everything making the experience super easy.

Convenient location

My family and I absolutely loved the home! The beds were super comfy and there’s plenty of room in the open concept living room/kitchen for all of the family to hang out and converse during meals. It’s also super close to several of the beaches in the area (usually less than 20 minutes) as well as shopping and the Riverdale in downtown Wilmington. We will definitely book here on our future trips to the area.

This place was great! My family and I stayed here for the North Carolina Ironman 70.3. The place was spacious and so much nicer than trying to cram everyone into a hotel room. The house was near several shopping areas but was in a very nice quiet neighborhood. The host communicated well and we had everything we needed. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thanks so much:).

Wilmington area cottage home

We loved our stay here at this property which is in Wilmington area in Silver Lake. Super close to our family in Leland and Carolina beach. House is very nice, large beds, clean linens and clean property. Washer and dryer worked so well for us as well as for our week stay to visit our family and have vacation away from home. The host was super responsive and helpful and easy to get a hold of with any issues, which we did not have any. We really were in the house to sleep do some laundry and relax a short time before going to beaches and gatherings around the area. Super close to Walmart and other stores too so perfect for families! Thank you for a great stay! I highly recommend this place!

Inside the the house is nicely remodeled and spacious. Quiet neighborhood and close to the beach, and restaurants. I wish the garage, the molded walls and porch outside was cleaned. Probably just pressure wash and other cleaning in the garage and outside would help . They have a little smell. Other than that the i would stay in the place next time again. I would have given 5 star for this place. I love it. Thank you Vrbo.

Our visit was to see family. The location is close to Carolina beach. Luke was always available when we needed anything. Don't hesitate to contact Luke he will make your stay as comfortable as possible. I hope he can hold our pricing for our next visit coming fall. Thank you.

The house was very spacious and the perfect place for families to get away. Everything was so nice, all the rooms had ceiling fans and flatscreen TV's. The owner was very responsive and willing to fix all errors/concerns. Nice driveway to park up to two vehicles in. It's located pretty much in between Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach. Short distance to food and stores. The only downfall was that the water wasn't connected to the ice machine.

Amazing host, it's bigger than it looks in pictures

I was under the impression I booked a place that would be too small, but the house itself proved to be really spacious. The wifi in the house was amazing, we spent 5 days there so it came in handy. The host was awesome, worked with us whenever we had problems, kept in contact, and I am thankful the minimum age to rent was 18. If you have this on your possible booking list its fairly cheap for a great house. The neighborhood was also very nice, we jogged in the morning a few times and had no issues, will say it's busier than I thought it would be. Overall a great trip well worth the money.

Price reflects location

I enjoyed the stay. I would stay again. Neighborhood is eclectic. Very close to everything including 15 minutes from beach. For the price you cannot beat it. House clean. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen and bath/ shower was sufficient. Loved the coffee pods which I usually do not enjoy. Bring extra as the starter is just a starter. We did not cook this time so cannot say if sufficient cookware etc but we had what we needed. I would suggest to beef up cushions on sun porch. I was hoping to lounge out there if weather permitted but they are not very comfortable to lay on. Very nice extra room out on the porch though so it was nice to have the extra room. This is 1.5 bathroom which I did not realize but we ended up with only 4 people so it was not a problem for showering plus only for 2 nights. There is an outside shower but we did not use it. Separate closed in patio also which is nice. I would suggest, water flow run off be redirected. Bigger grill. Next time we will be grilling. Backyard not fenced in but level and great place for kids to play. Pretty private but I would add a couple of privacy bushes. Some cars parked on the side of the road on this property both nights I was there. I was not sure if was just over flow parking from a family get together across the street but 2 cars parked on the property street side. Extra room for storage in garage really nice.

Adequate for our needs

I rated this property overall at 3 stars, but wanted to give 2 1/2 (not 3). The listing is accurate, beds are comfy, cleanliness is excellent, and lots of room for watching TV, lounging, etc. However, there were lots of little things the photos did not show and our expectations were not met. Examples are, only 1 of the 4 lights in the master 1/2 bath worked. The garage door was jammed shut. One side of the dishwasher top rack was broken and did not slide correctly. We expected at least one box of tissues to be available-there were none. The shower curtain had small spots of mold on the inside and curtain rod was rusty/curtain did not slide very easily. It was apparent the inside of the home has been remodeled but definitely as a DIY project, some edges of the island counter top was still rough/not finished, grout between the wall tiles in the kitchen was not completed, one of the two under cabinet lights did not work and the power wires were not tucked/secured out of the way. Dishes/glassware/kitchen utensils/pots & pans were mismatched and scarce. The impression we got was shopping for the kitchen was done at the local thrift store on a very tight budget. There was soap/shampoo/dish & laundry soap available, and adequate towels for bathing. Concerning the bathrooms, little to no towel racks or shelves were available to store personal items. Our stay was comfortable and the facility was adequate. But for a retired pro home remodeler, definitely not up to snuff.
