We're set well back from the road and surrounded on three sides by acres of undisturbed woods. The cabin was in a great location especially with having smaller children. It was also very clean and easily accessible. The host was also very patient and welcoming with the property. I would rent this estate again in the future.

Great stay prepping for a wedding

We had a service at the Pretty Place chapel and this was the perfect location for us to relax and prepare for the wedding. House was great and we had a wonderful family dinner around a great kitchen table.

Close to Pretty Place

House was a little hard to find. Look for address on mailbox, don't mistake it for the neighbors house. It was clean and well appointed. Easy check-in. It seemd to be the closest place to Pretty Place, which is where we were going for a sunrise wedding, its about 15 minutes away. The whole area is well away from amenities, so bring your food as I didn't see many options for eating out. Overall it was a great choice for what we needed.

Cozy

It is a cute remodeled home! I have no complaints about the property itself nor the process, however the neighbors property is kinda rundown with junk in the yard. No one ever bothered us, but it an eye sore when the two properties kinda run together. This did not affect our rating because it is a great little get away.

quick stay to see pretty place chapel

we stayed one night on our way to vacation. we wanted to see pretty place chapel in am. only a 15 min drive. place was great and we wish we could of stay longer to enjoy more of the property and surroundings. very cute place.

Cute home

We enjoyed our 1 night stay. It’s an older home that has been for the most part renovated. Everything was charming, but the kitchen needs some work done. It was enough for us for one night, but would have been inconvenient if we had stayed longer.

Great Launching Point for DuPont State Forest

This is an older home right off the highway just outside of Cedar Mountain. These are basic lodgings for sure but it’s clean and communication and check-in are both ideal. I would certainly stay here again if I were in the area.

Ok for short stay

There were some updates that had been made but the house is very old. As soon as we walked in there is a very noticeable musty smell and every room we went in had cobwebs implying the cleaners did not do a thorough job. Overall it served its purpose which was just a place to sleep for a couple days as we were not there long or at all during the daytime. I would not recommend renting for a long stay but is adequate for a night or two.

Great weekend get away

Apple picking is an annual event for my family and we wanted a place to relax and enjoy the remote mountains. This place did the trick - it was half way for my college kids as well as the ones still at home. Lovely house with a great fire pit! We had a nice fire roasted hot dogs and made smores. Only thing I would change is to have logs for the fire. We had to find someplace selling wood as the small pieces around were damp. Otherwise, awesome place!

Camp excursion

Stayed here as a respite from doing sliding rock ahead of a camp drop off. Very nice place and host was very accessible.

Beautiful location

The drive up the mountain to this property was beautiful, with many scenic view accesses on the way. The home is tucked away near the woods and the surroundings were quiet. The home had everything if needed at first, such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc. I find that some listings say they offer these but they don't. The home was clean and even had some toys for our four-year-old to enjoy while there! We would definitely stay again if in the area.
