Have fun with the whole family at this stylish Chalet on Shanty Creek Property at Schuss Mtn. in beautiful Bellaire, MI. Set in the tall pines, this 4-bedroom home is newly remodeled and boasts many amenities. Enjoy all that northern Michigan has to offer just minutes from the door. Ski Shanty Creek, visit Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, and Shorts Brewery. Golf at one of the many premier courses in the area. Color tours and wine tasting await you as well. Chalet Foret has it all!
The space
Please make yourself at home while staying at Chalet Foret.

Entryway/Laundry
The entry to the chalet has hooks for coats, bags and other gear. You will find a boot tray for shoes and ski boots. We do ask that you remove your shoes while in the home. There is a full-sized washer and dryer with laundry detergent provided.

Living Area
Get cozy on the large sectional and kick your feet up while visiting with family and friends. Watch a movie, or just enjoy the peaceful pines, which can be viewed through the many door walls.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your culinary needs. You will find pots, pans, bakeware, plates, bowls, silverware, wine glasses, mugs, coffee, and spices.

Master Bedroom
This lovely four poster bed has a high-quality, Helix brand, kind-sized mattress and snuggly blankets to stay warm and cozy. The bedroom as a nightstand with USB port and plug for your technology storage. There is a wall-mounted TV above the dresser as well.

First Floor Bathroom
Located right outside the master bedroom. This bathroom has a tub and shower along with custom-made live edge wood vanity top.

Bedroom 2
Bedroom 2 is located on the first floor and has a bunk bed with a twin over a full bed. There is a closet and dresser for storage.

Bedroom 3
Bedroom 3 is located on the second floor and has a comfortable queen bed with wrought iron frame. There is also a dresser and luggage rack for storage.

Bedroom 4
This room on the second-floor doubles as a den and has a TV with cabinet. The sofa bed pulls out into a full-sized bed for additional sleeping. You will find sheets and blankets in the TV cabinet.

Bathroom 2
This bathroom is upstairs attached to the den/bedroom 4. It has a full shower and new fixtures.

Great Ski Weekend

Cabin was perfect for our stay, close to the slopes and had everything needed for a great extended weekend. Host checked up to see if we needed anything, and the snow was plowed/shoveled every morning. Cant wait to come back.

We were highly disappointed with this VRBO. It is marketed as a four-bedroom property, but in reality, it is a three-bedroom with an open loft area. The loft is not a true bedroom, as it cannot be closed off and has no shades/window coverings, which was extremely frustrating since we specifically needed four full, private bedrooms.In addition, we found bugs in some of the dishes and pans, and several items in the home did not work properly. The heat continually turned on and off and was very loud. There were issues under the sink area with the furnace blower turned on and off every 10-20 seconds, very loudly. The TV setup was difficult to use/watch, and the fireplace did not seem to function correctly.Overall, the property needs attention, and most importantly, it should be marketed accurately.

Great place to stay!

This is a great accommodation in a great location! The host was excellent and communication was friendly and welcoming. The Chalet was clean and well appointed. There is plenty of room and the outdoor amenities are plentiful.Do not hesitate booking this rental!

Clean and Comfy

The very clean house had spotless bed linens, comfortable beds and a bounty of supplies including fresh ground coffee and filters for the coffeemaker. All 3 generations enjoyed our stay.

Family trip.

This property is lovely. Location is quiet and peaceful. Just enough room for a family of 4! The front and back deck are nice and the fire pit is amazing. Would rent this place again!!

Wonderful property!

Great location, kids enjoyed the pool access. Plenty of room to park our boat. Very peaceful, clean, and just enough space for our family of 4. Bre was also very helpful and responsive!

Great time with family

Very nicely renovated chalet!! Had all the things needed. Having access to the pool and hot tub at schuss was such a nice touch. Has a nice propane grill. Handy breeze way for boots and coats as well as washer/dryer. Everything is new and clean. Heat is plentiful although the fans were a bit annoying/hard to figure out but it’s probably user error on our part. All of the beds except for the pull out are super comfortable. The bottom bunk is actually a double, which was awesome. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay in their lovely cottage!!
