Tamarack Lodge, Waterfront on Lake Bellaire

Tamarack Lodge has everything you want and need in a vacation home. This 2352 square-feet fully-furnished cabin is great for large families or groups. Located on beautiful Lake Bellaire, Tamarack Lodge has 130 feet of private lake front and includes a dock, raised fire-pit with built-in seating, gas grill, outdoor shower, paddleboat, hammock, canoe, and kayaks. The water is clear and shallow close to shore, with a sandy beach area for small children to play.

The cabin features 2 master bedrooms with queen-size beds and views of the lake. The open kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, utensils and cookware. A large dining room is attached to the kitchen and seats 12 people. The log great room has a cathedral ceiling, stone gas fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize your view of the lake.

Lake Bellaire is part of the Chain of Lakes, with access to Grass River, Clam Lake and the world-renowned Torch Lake. It is close to several championship golf courses, 5 minutes from Shanty Creek Resort, 30 minutes from Lake Michigan, Charlevoix and Boyne Mountain and 40 minutes from Traverse City and Petosky. The quaint town of Bellaire offers a local coffee shop, Shorts Brewery, a movie theater, an ice cream shop and a grocery store. Also, take day trips to the magnificent Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Leelanua Peninsula or Macinac Island.

Family vacation at the lake

This was our first time hosting the family "up North". It was a great trip. The Tamarak lodge was a big hit with everyone.

I wanted to share how much I loved the view of the lake. The house having trees on all sides provided wonderful privacy. The only things we needed to provide were beach towels and food, as the house had everything else.

Excellent vacation! The property is private and yet convenient to lots of activities and towns. We were able to get back and forth to torch lake with a beautiful stroll through grass river. The house provides lots of amenities and the kids loved the kayaks and paddle boards when we were not on the boat! We would definitely consider renting this house again!

Tamarack Lodge winter visit

Great property - well suited for larger or multiple families. We had a great visit, good communication with host, and the property is well appointed. Close to the lake, Bellaire, Shanty Creek, etc.

Lovely lake home

Tamarack Lodge is a beautiful home. However, the online pictures do not reflect the worn out furniture. The outdoor chairs are all very thread bare. The inside is great, very roomy and all the beds are very comfortable.

water sports galore

Home was bigger then pictured, very comfortable and allowed our small family to spread out. Kitchen was stocked with plenty for use and we did cook most meals. We were able to put a small fishing boat in the water for the week and the home had access to paddle boards and kayaks so we thoroughly enjoyed getting our fitness in on the lake. Great sandy beach for the kids to play and lots of outdoor space on the property as well. We enjoyed the access to town that we had without feeling like we were in town. the dirt road was perfect for taking quiet walks and jogs. the only thing we did off property was visit the grass river nature area which the kids loved and the charlevoix art fair was happening one day so we made that short drive. a lot is accessible. thank you for a wonderful week!jogs.

The kitchen is well stocked, except for the shortage of silverware. The linens were very clean. The throw rugs were all dirty. The kitchen rug was turned over so the dirtier side was underneath. The outdoor chairs were in rough shape. Both grills were very dirty and had to be cleaned before we could use them.

Great property

The house was roomy & big enough for 10 of us to stay. The lake is very peaceful & quiet. We rented a pontoon boat & kept it at the dock which was great to go out & explore the area & swim. The only “negative” was being unable to swim right at the house. The lake floor was soft and easy to sink in when walking.
