I am pleased that inside the home met your expectations. Beaver Island has an abundance of wildlife from majestic bald eagles, loons, butterflies, wild turkeys, and deer. While the snakes are certainly a less than desirable type of wildlife, there are no venomous snakes on any of the islands of the Beaver Archipelago. These snakes also tend to be highly skittish to people and not aggressive unless provoked. We encourage all guests to reach out to us during their stay for any questions or concerns. Communicating during the stay helps us provide you with a five-star experience.

We love the newly installed stairs that added such great access to the water. I’m glad that was enjoyed by you too! Beaver Island has an abundance of wildlife and snakes as well as mosquitos are two of the less than desirable creatures. We are thankful that of the multiple species of snakes on the island none of them are dangerous to people and they are highly skittish. Our two young children have not had negative encounters with snakes. Additionally, we are actively working with a pest control company to help with repelling snakes & pests from the property. I appreciate the feedback on trash and apologize that our instructions were unclear. We remove the bagged trash from the property at the time of check out. Information on the transfer station (trash) is provided if needed during an extended stay so that any additional waste accumulation isn’t problematic during the stay. We pride ourselves in sharing our clean home with breath taking views of Lake Michigan. Thank you for your stay!
