Although this cabin is in a great location, just 15 minutes from Luray Caverns and backing up to Shenedoah National Park, the house itself was a disappointment. It is designed to view the valley to the south, but the room with the view is a dining room. The sitting rooms on both the main and lower levels do not have much of a view. Although that was disappointing, the main problems were with the water supply to the house, which went out twice during our stay. The owner was responsive, but this seems to be a common occurrance. The internet access is decent, but there is no work space except the dining room. The fireplace is decorative, and there is no where to hang coats or put winter shoes. There also was very little toilet paper in the house when we arrived. as others have stated, there were a lot of rules, but I could see how bad rental experiences could result in many of them. One the positive side, the view is lovely, and there is ample space for sleeping. This house could work for a family looking to spend most of their exploring the park or nearby attractions.
