We were disappointed. There were no towels in the main bathroom down stairs and NO soap but multiple EMPTY soap containers in the bathroom and kitchen. We had to go to the kitchen and get paper towels to dry our watered hands. The place beat up a bit. Sheets in the one bedroom had something green on them and didnât appear to be cleaned. The back door and lock are in bad shape. Blinds broken. Toilets dirty. Sinks with broken pieces. For almost 700 for two nights we expected more. Neighborhood and location were good. See pictures.
I contacted them about an immediate concern that they should address and I hope they did.We suggest that they spend a few days there as a guest would to see the many things needing attention. The house is basically clean with good location.
Check in process was very smooth and host was very communicative. They were also very flexible with us when our plans changed abruptly and we were able to rebook at a different date.House has experienced some wear from repeated guests and at least one of the bedrooms has a stale odor of smoke or something. There are lots of air fresheners throughout, which we did not appreciate, but may not bother others. The house felt safe and the neighborhood is a good one, so very convenient if folks are staying in Tacoma and wanting to explore the area. Street parking was easy and never a challenge. Many stairs to access home. Not a problem for us, but could be challenging depending on mobility.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our needs and close to the facility that was hosting our father/grandfather's 100th birthday celebration.
We enjoyed our stay. The VRBO was clean and convenient. Kitchen utensils for cooking, earing and cleaning were basic but comparatively less than other rentals in which we have stayed. Overall, we enjoyed the property and its amenities
Very nice house! Was very hot the days we were there. This house does NOT have air conditioning, next time we will pay attention to that. Ended up having to sleep downstairs with how hot it was. Also watch out for the porch, the spider and spider webs were everywhere!
The house was very clean, beautiful home in Tacoma looks like historical neighborhood with many Victorian style homes and beautiful churches nearby. A few minute's walk to bay and a large park. It appears the VRBO app needs to be downloaded prior to trip, as that is the only way to communicate with the owner. The code provided for entry on email confirmation did not work had to reach out to VRBO to get in touch with owner since no contact information was provided on email confirmation, they provided code however the electronic entry did not work. Needless to say we were extremely frustrated with the situation since we drove 2 days to get to location. VRBO was helpful in getting us into the rental with the owner on the phone which was resolved in 20 minutes. The master bedroom toilet runs after flushing and needs to be fixed, otherwise nice rental.
We were in town for a graduation at UPS and this was a perfect location. Close to the University (4-5 minute drive) and close to a nice park and great restaurants. The house is beautifully updated and very clean and comfortable. We slept well and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. There is a fire pit in the backyard and a nice kitchen and dining area, as well. Highly recommended!
The house is lovely and has all the amenities we needed, including the laundry room. It was clean and comfortable, we had access to the thermostat and extra blankets to keep us warm in January, and the view from the upstairs windows was very nice. It's also very conveniently located close to bus stops and the T line, which you can use to get to every tourist-y thing we wanted to do in the city, as well as fantastic restaurants, like Moshi or Corina. The host was awesome and accommodating, and responded very quickly when we had questions. We hope to get to stay here again!
This house was spacious enough to comfortably meet out needs (3 adults). It was reasonably clean and check-in was easy. The location is great for walking to restaurants and shops, quick drive to the Ruston waterfront and the train station for a day trip to Seattle. House could use a little TLC (clogged bathtub/shower drain, toilet handle sticks causing it to run, water damage stains from skylight in primary bathroom, mysterious red stains on one of the comforters and a bedroom rug, etc). These issues didn't affect our stay, but we appreciate accommodations with a little more attention to detail.
Location was excellent. Walkable neighborhood.
Good space but very basic furnishings. Not very inviting. Not enough seating in the living area. Old food items left in the freezer and cupboards.
