Beautiful and cozy! Our second stay at this home- 3 generations together for our annual Christmas shopping weekend. The house is perfect. Plenty of space for all of us, and super close to all the shopping. Hosts were very responsive. Very clean and has everything we need. We can't wait for next year!

Wedding getaway

It was a very relaxing house to stay in. Everything was provided in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. Lots of room for all of us to mingle.

Property is much more spacious than the photos show which is a plus. Thank you Jeff and Jess for being great host with providing everything we needed for our party of 9. The neighbor’s chickens were a nice surprise to have roaming outside.

Perfect for our extended family weekend!

We loved everything about this place. Beautiful, large home, plenty of room for 8 adults and 2 children. Large dining room for meals and family game time. So close to Freeport and all the shopping. Very clean, and the home has everything we needed. We can’t wait to go again!

Great spot for a friends trip!

The place was clean and comfortable as advertised, with plenty of bedroom space and a large dining area where we ate and did work. Easy to drive to Portland and other attractions in the area! The neighborhood itself is just a quiet residential area. Worked well for our little winter weekend!

Convenient location, well furnished.

Having one bedroom on the first floor (four on the second floor) made it convenient for family member who had difficulty climbing stairs. Ample outdoor activities available, including grill, lounge porch and fire pit.

Great house in great Freeport location!

We had three generations of our family stay at this great house close to other extended family and very convenient to all pretty Freeport has to offer. The furnishings and linens were very nice and the bedroom arrangements worked out well for the six adults and three young grandchildren. The neighborhood is very quiet and there was plenty of space for our grandkids to play outside as well. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Friends Getaway

We stayed here with a couple friends and our dogs. Check-in/accessing the house with the door code was a breeze. The location was great and close to good hikes, dog friendly breweries, great shopping and Portland! The house was very clean and had everything we needed! We would definitely utilize this property again.

Venscation 2023 - Maine

Family vacation (again for 3 generations) was a trip to Maine. We rented this beautiful home just outside of Freeport. The 5 bedrooms worked out perfectly for us and we enjoyed the quiet surroundings after a day of adventures, exploring Maine for a week. Everything was as promised and I would highly recommend this place. Excellent!

Family vacation with a large group

We (7 adults, 4 children <11) stayed at this property in mid-July. The house easily accommodated our large group. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. We were there primarily to visit family in Yarmouth, but the location is great if you're looking for the Freeport experience. Portland is an easy 15-20 minute drive. A note if you have younger children: the bunk bed room is located on the ground floor, the other 4 bedrooms are upstairs. Our 2 and 5 year old were a little freaked out about sleeping in the bunk room without having parents close by, but we were able to easily alter sleeping arrangements. The property is well maintained inside and out; all appliances, WiFi, A/C, etc. functioned well. Check-in/check-out was simple. The property owners live in Freeport and quickly responded to a couple of our requests. We highly recommend this property!

Hi I'm Jeff! Our family (Jess, me, our son) live in Freeport, Maine. We own and operate ProActive Properties and have been hosting guests in some of our favorite travel destinations since 2014. I also own an international travel company, ActivSport Travel, and Jess has extensive experience in education as a high school math teacher and leading international educational tours. Our passions lay in soccer, skiing, traveling the world, and being outdoors.
