Welcome to the Jazz Room.
This is a 600 square foot living space which includes 1 Bedroom with 2 beds , Walk-in Closet, Kitchenette, Private bathroom, Living area with sofabed , and Private Entrance. Located on the Second floor of an Historical Home in Downtown Riverside. Only 2 City Streets Away from the Convention Center, Mission inn, Fox Theatre, Bars\Restaurants, Fairmount Park, and Riverside Community College and Hospital.

This apartment, loft is a great find and hidden gem within the heart of Riverside. “The Jazz Room” met and exceeded all my expectations. It was clean, tidy and well maintained. It has all the amenities of staying in a very nice hotel room and then some. Without all the corporate BS and no noisy neighbors around you. The host Mario is a gentleman and has pulled out all the stops to ensure you have a comfortable and pleasant stay. This place has everything you need except food, just show up with your own clothes. Speaking of food, there are a ton of great places to eat all around this spot. Mario has also simplified that with a framed picture on the wall of his top ten favorite places to eat at locally with all their contact info. He even cranked it up a notch by providing physical hard copy, paper menus of at least 20 local nearby restaurants. If you are looking for a recommendation for a certain type of food, just send him a text and he will respond promptly. If you ever need a place to stay near downtown Riverside, including the Mission Inn, Riverside Community Hospital, Riverside Community College, UCR or Mt. Rubidoux. The Jazz Room is the place to stay. I will book this stay again if I return to downtown Riverside. THANK YOU MARIO!

The host was a very welcoming, helpful guy, and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was very clean, neat, and had many convenient amenities. Importantly, the bed we slept on had a really good quality, comfortable mattress. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything said about the place was accurate. Clean, quiet, spacious. Kitchenette was nicely stocked with necessary equipment. Bathroom was exceptionally clean, well stocked and well lighted. The owner was available for questions or comments and responded quickly to questions. I would recommend this to anyone.

The Jazz House

Very tastefully decorated & clean.I would just suggest to deactivate the motion sensor light in the bathroom (bc it’s obnoxious when using the bathroom in the middle of the night). I also suggest better quality sheets (100% cotton instead of polyester) & better pillows.

The Jazz Room

The check-in process was super easy and the owner was nice but I have to admit, the location and "room in the attic" had me somewhat uneasy. I arrived in the evening, it was dark... no (porch) lughts were left on - a very uneasy feeling to.pull up to a dark neighborhood, dark house when you are by yourself, unsure of where you are. I went in the gate that was not brushed off, spiders everywhere! Got into the living spaces, very nice decorating; however, the bath mat was not clean and had hair all over it. The sponge left for washing dishes was super used, not new or fresh... not just used once, but many times - head scratcher. Made for a very uncomfortable first night. I heard noises downstairs because people do live there... knowing I could hear them, made me feel uneasy about turning on the TV at 10/10:30 at night to ease my night. I did reach out to the owner about the bath mat and the sponge who then asked me to set both items by the front door, and assured me that both concerns would be remedied by the next morning. And, they were. Nice owner.

Highly Recommend

Mario is a wonderful host. Loved our stay in the “ Jazz Room”. It was the perfect place to lay out heads at the end of the day. It was cozy and so clean. Mario was very patient with changes that kept arriving as we were planning our trip for a funeral. He was kind, patient and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Would love to stay there again. Thank you so much for having me and my children.
