Check in was a snap. The bungalow was so pretty, clean and cozy. The outdoor patio allows for relaxation while watching all the harbor activity. And so close to all the great restaurants, marinas and shops. We love this little gem and hope to visit again!

Favorite VRBO ever!

We had the best stay at the blue bungalow. It is our favorite VRBO to date. The location is perfect, easy to get to from the government dock and close to everything. The views were incredible, and paddle boarding off of our dock was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend booking here!

Harbor Island getaway

The little Blue Bungalow was just as described. Perfect for 2 people and walking distance to restaurants. I would suggest renting a golf cart to enjoy the beaches.

Awesome Spot

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the blue bungalow and loved it. Great location with an amazing view right on the bay. Perfect spot for 2 people! Very clean and had everything we needed!

Great place

Great water views and location to restaurants and town. Easy walking distance from the pier, if you wanted to save a day renting a golf cart. The house is very nice and has everything you need. Very accurate description on VRBO.

Excellent Stay All Around!

The bungalow is great for 2 people. Terrific location on the water near everything in Dunmore Town. It is clean and well decorated, and the terrace overlooking the water is heavenly! The owners are super nice and helpful. All in we had a terrific stay!

Absolutely Perfect for Us

Just 2 of us in town for a wedding. PLace was perfect! Well equipped with cooking supplies, dishes, coffee maker and full size frig.The view off the back is stunning for sunset or anytime you want to relax. (Plenty of room to do yoga for 2) LOVED everything about it!

Incredible Bungalow!

Pictures don’t do it justice. It is clean, comfortable and quaint. Updated chic Bahamian bungalow great for 1-2 people. The porch on the water is so peaceful and the sunsets are awesome! I thought it would be dated but it isn’t! Right in town, walk to great restaurants. Excellent hosts. I will be back!

Harbour Island Stole My Heart

The Blue Bungalow is perfectly located. The house is cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Island. Food is amazing. The people are kind. The whole experience wasn’t near long enough. We will be back to this beautiful place!

Amazing!!!

The Blue Bungalow is the perfect place to stay. Perfect for our needs - and we stayed 8 days! Location cant be beat! Mornings watching the action in the harbor, sunsets in the evening... even sitting outside reading during a relaxing rain! So relaxing... a retreat when needed, and just a short walk to all the action. Special place to create life long memories! thanks Guys - Dean and Meg

Wonderful Getaway

The Blue Bungalow is a perfect place for two to explore beautiful Harbour Island. Location is on the harbour and convenient to restaurants, some excellent ones right across the street! The beach is minutes away with pink sands and the most beautiful blue ocean!! The bungalow also has a small deck on the water to watch awesome sunsets! I highly recommend a trip to Harbour Island and staying at the The Blue Bungalow!! Thank you so much for your hospitality, Elaine & Al

Fun- and ideal location.

Perfect spot to explore the island. Pros: Location. Lots of day time activity on dock Easy check in and short walk from dock Short walk to lovely beach and chair rentals Cottage is small, and may not work for people who are immobile, but it’s well appointed, comfy, and cute The AC and fans kept us very comfy. The rental agent was great with communications and follow-up. Cons: None! We will be back

Blue Bungalow

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Bungalow! We’ve been coming to Harbour Island for 10 years. Nadine, the housekeeper made sure to keep things clean for us. The views of the harbour were an extra treat! Very comfortable bed and the kitchen was perfect for preparing breakfast and lunch. Convenient to walk across to the best restaurants on the island. We will return!

Harbour island ocean front stay

considering this was a new listing and only one review at the time, we didn't really know what to expect. This place ended up exceeding our expectations. It was right in the heart of the action, convenient, quiet and newly renovated. the large oceanfront terrace was amazing with the views of the harbour. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking to visit the island.

May not be for everybody

Fantastic central location on Harbour island. Perfect for getting around if you just want to walk everywhere. Just a couple of minutes walk from the arrival dock. 10 minutes to the beautiful pink sand beach. Great restaurants right across the street as well as down the street. Grocery and liquor store a short walk also. The unit has a wonderful private terrace with comfortable lounges on the water side to look out at the water/sunsets as well as watch the going s on at the arrival dock. A couple of items you should consider to decide if this place is right for you. There are significant steps you need to go down to get into the unit as well as a few more to get to the bedroom from the kitchen/bathroom. The unit is on the small side so there is no couch to sit on indoors when the weather is a bit off to use the back terrace. No full size stove or microwave but a nice toaster oven/ coffee maker with a 2 top range.

This was a very well maintained house for 2, I loved the location, it was peaceful, I had wondered if being near the dock would add noise but it didn’t. The paddle board I wasn’t aware that the house came with, so that was an added bonus there were 2 paddle boards but 1 had low air in it. We paddle around and starfish and turtles.the house has a coffee machine we didn’t use because I was worried what water was put in it. Don’t drink the tap water on island I was told, also there’s a nice toaster oven we didn’t cook much at the house because it’s almost just as expensive as the restaurants for two.Over all I would rent this cabin again. However I do think this cute little island has gone down hill since my visit 12 years ago when they had zero cars on the island and only golf carts, sad about that, but the beaches are still beautiful quiet and amazing!! 4 nights was a perfect stay, the house had a wonderful mattress, cold a/c, know that it does have steep stairs going to front door and also steps from bedroom to kitchen bathroom. It had beach towels and plenty of bath towels. The bathroom is a little small. And the window in the bathroom could use a better shade with view of the street. We just put a towel over it. And also have a closet you could hang dresses. Enjoy

Disappointed

Positives: The bungalow is budget-friendly and enjoys a convenient location. Negatives: Upon opening the front door, we were greeted by a pungent, musty smell. The source, whether mold or mildew (or whatever), was unclear, but it was thick enough for my wife and me to look at each other in disbelief. We hesitated (do we sleep in this?) – but kept unpacking and hoping for the best. Then, there was the state of the coffee maker. When attempting to run fresh water through it, we discovered the basket was filled with old coffee grounds and covered in mold. This raised serious concerns about the overall cleanliness and air quality of the property. Ultimately, we felt uncomfortable with the interior environment and opted to secure a suite at another location on the island.

Lots of questions about this review so I wanted to address it. There is no mold that we are aware of in this unit and we have had it inspected. We believe that the windows had been kept open for too long with AC running and it simply needed to be aired out. No other guest has ever complained about this. That said, this is the tropics and the house is literally built on top of the water so a dampness might be a possibility but its a concrete building that was completely gutted two years ago. As for the coffee maker, we own this one. Our lovely, hardworking housekeeper was unaware that the top opened or anyone had used it as it was a new machine. Upon learning about the moldy coffee inside, we immediately came to the house, removed the coffee maker and offered to replace it with a brand new one purchased that day on the island. Unfortunately that was not enough for these guests and they ultimately decided to move out. You can't win them all.

Little piece of paradise

Harbour Island did not disappoint and the Blue Bungalow was the cherry on top! The house, location, views.. all of it was just perfection. Sunsets were pristine. I will say my husband and I recently stayed somewhere that was a little musty, so we were nervous about the 4/10 rating from another reviewer. As far as the blue bungalow, it might have been a tiny bit stuffy when we walked in, but this resolved as soon as we turned on the A/C and didn’t notice it the remainder of our trip. I can imagine any house this close to the water would be the exact same. The listing is exactly as described, but far past our expectations. We appreciated all the recommendations and were pleasantly surprised that housekeeping made an appearance to clean up, freshen bedding and switch out towels half way through our stay! The beach is a few min drive by golf cart or maybe a 15 min walk, depending on which beach access you use (we walked and rode without issues). Regardless the beaches were empty and December is definitely the time to visit if you want an entire beach to yourself! For reference to other new visitors to the island— my husband and I highly recommend eating breakfast at The Landing, the ricotta pancakes and French Toast are both Chefs Kiss!!! Thank you to the host! If we ever come back to Harbour Island, we will stay here again. In the meantime, I will recommend this house to friends and family!
