Perfect place! We spent a week at the Big Dipper to celebrate a family member's birthday and the place was amazing. The house is as advertised; very spacious, clean, comfortable, with lots to do. The amenities are plentiful and the kids loved the pool and games. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful Big Dipper

This home was perfect. Kids had a ball with indoor pool, hot tub, game room, hiking, smores, movies while adults relaxed. No reason to leave the property during our short stay!

The place was beautiful and our family had so much fun. The host had so many extras that I've never had at other places. However, we planned to cook the whole time we were there and the stove was broken. Upon talking with the host, they knew it was broken which I found disappointing considering the cost to rent the home. There were also some dishes that needed washed before using and a potholder that was pretty disgusting. Other than that, again it was beautiful and we had a good weekend with our kids.

Property is all as listed and more! Beautiful! The kitchen has every appliance and utensils you’ll need! It’s very private but if you need a store, one is very close! It was spotless! Host was always available for questions. My family had a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend!

Amazing Cousin's Trip

We had a great time staying at this house. I love that each room was a master suite. Each room easily fit a pack-n-play (or two). It was a pleasant surprise to have some toys available for younger kids. The host was very responsive to all communications. Thanks for a great stay!

Great getaway

We stayed for 3 nights and ran out of time to enjoy all of the amenities. Would definitely recommend. All in our group of 10 were happy. We also really liked that the rooms all had en-suites. That’s hard to find. Proximity to Wisp was great.

Our family of nine — grandmother, four adult children, and four grandchildren — had an excellent weekend at this cabin. The layout is ideal for a multi-generational group, with each bedroom having its own full bathroom, providing both comfort and privacy.The large front windows overlooking the lake were beautiful, especially with the snow, and the fireplace created a comfortable central gathering space.The swimming pool was the highlight of the weekend and was enjoyed extensively by both the adults and grandchildren. The game room with pool table and video games, along with the hot tub, added to the overall experience.The amenities were thoughtful and complete: a welcome snack basket, a fully stocked coffee bar with pods, marshmallows, and hot chocolate, and complimentary shampoos, soaps, and laundry supplies.Communication from the host was excellent. She reached out upon arrival to ensure everything was satisfactory and offered a one-hour checkout extension, which we appreciated.This is a well-equipped, well-managed property that comfortably accommodates a larger family. We would stay again and recommend it without hesitation.

Thank you for your review. During your stay, you reported needing batteries and driveway salt. Both were delivered within 90 minutes to the home. The response we received was “Beautiful. Thank you”. We also offered a handyman to replace the batteries in the device and the offer was turned down. While we are disappointed with your unwarranted review, we addressed your requests as fast as possible during your stay.

Our family visited Deep Creek Lake in 2020 and fell in love with the town, lake, mountain and everything else the area has to offer. As our family grew, we needed a larger base camp for our adventures to the area. We wanted to build a home that always made us feel like we were on vacation so we designed The Big Dipper with tons of great amenities including the indoor pool, game room, outdoor deck & more. We love sharing our home with others and hope you will enjoy using it for your next vacation.

The home is brand new and well appointed. We have cleaning protocols well above local standards including the use of bed bug protectors and we wash all linens between every guest. You wont find gross, used comforters at our home! We look forward to hosting you at any of our awesome properties! Brian & Jill
