The Aoudad Cabin at Palo Duro

The Aoudad Cabin is a family-friendly, one-bedroom, one-bath cabin rental with a sleeping loft that can accommodate up to six people.

It is furnished with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, a futon couch that folds out into a full-sized bed in the living room, and twin mattresses in the sleeping loft. It also has a sofa and Roku TV.

There is a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, microwave, and coffeemaker, and an outdoor deck with a gas grill. It has ample A/C and heating units.

Enjoy the spacious deck for grilling or stargazing.

Over all awesome cabin. Pretty clean aside from the grill. I LOVED the location of this cabin in particular because you can see a small area of the cabin (nothing major). My only complaint is that there was no tv in the bedroom so me and my partner slept on the fouton. As well.as no washer and dryer. I bring that up because assuming since your staying close to the canyon, you'll be spending alot of time there. So things get super dusty and you might burn through more clothes than expected especially if you're staying more than a day or 2... in oue case it was 3. Hopefully they change that in the future. However dispite all the small things I'd definitely stay again.

Great location. Responsive hosts to our messages. Bed was comfy. Hard to operate the temperature controls at first. Needed some instructions. Very quiet place. We only made cereal and yogurt for breakfast, so we didn’t use the kitchen except for fridge and coffee maker. No stove or oven in the kitchen. Large deck on the front with table and chairs was nice. Throw pillow and couch has some stains. Could use a cleaning on those things. Found a water bottle behind the couch. Vent in bathroom floor was covered in dust and we cleaned it. The beds in the loft didn’t have any bedding on them. Glad we didn’t have to use those beds. The light in the living room had bugs inside and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

Beautiful accommodations and set up. Other cabins close but separated so peaceful and you have your own space. Host very responsive and on-site staff very nice and helpful.

This little cabin aka tiny house is very cozy! We especially loved the sleeping loft! Super easy to find and so close to the Palo Duro Canyon.

This property was an excellent choice due to location to Palo Duro, ease of access, and the proximity to a "restaurant" that offered food and some groceries.The cabin itself was as clean, even with the abundance of grasshoppers and flies that tried to get inside each time you opened the door. The only real inconvenience was that the air conditioner in the bedroom was very, very loud. We instead had it on to cool off the bedroom before bed, then turned it off when we went to bed, but we turned the air conditioner on in the main area of the house to keep some cold air in the cabin. This did work out well for us.Everything was in good order, and the bed was comfortable enough to help us get some sleep before another day of hiking the canyon.We really loved seeing the sunrise from the fence in front of our cabin, and the surprise of the 8 or so cattle that just walked around the property next door. The cattle came so close to the fence that I could have reached out to touch the horn of one of them! It was so amazing to see them so close!There were some games set up around the cabins, such as Bags and Tether Ball. I had never played Tether Ball, and I have come to the realization that I am not good at it, but my husband definitely laughed a lot watching me try to play!If we ever find ourselves out in the Palo Duro area again, I would definitely consider staying in this cabin again. It was exactly what we had hoped for.

Was nice n clean, loved the space, was nice n quiet. Loved sitting outside on the deck. The tetherball for my Daughter. Enjoyed at nights when the longhorns came up to the fence. All in all very nice place. Ill either be back at that location. Or go to yalls other location at the caprock canyons. Lota fun. N had a great time. Thank yall soooo much!!!!!!

Aoudad Cabin

Aoudad Cabin was such a perfect for my husband and myself and our two grandsons, one 12 yrs old and the other 15. The loft was perfect for them albeit the 15 yr old is 6'3". He just crawled into the bed. We enjoyed seeing the longhorn cattle from the deck. The location is very convenient to Palo Duro Canyon entrance and was especially nice when the "Texas" musical was over and we were able to quickly get to our room for the night.

The cabin was very roomy, furnished nicely and was very comfortable. Location was excellent. Could have been a little cleaner and the Cedar trees blocked the early morning sunrise. We enjoyed our stay, especially the Longhorns bedding down each night just outside the fence.

Peaceful

The property wasn’t perfectly located to quickly run down to Palo Duro Canyon as well as a local horse tour business. It was exactly has described and so charming with all the lawn games on site. We had a wonderful view from our deck and even had some longhorn cattle who visited us at night! We will be returning!

Lovely scenery! Friendly owners. Cabin had all we needed for our stay. Our only negative on our stay was out the front door overlooking the pasture in front of the porch is alot of building debris from a fallen out building. It would have been a much prettier view without it there. We did find some dirty laundry inside the couch fold out bed and some personal hygiene products upstairs in the loft. We left those items where they were found.

Red birds and bulls!

The cabin was rustic yet modern. We had some beautiful Stormy weather while we were there. We love the isolation back at the back of the property. The patio was overlooking the field with a longhorn cattle. We had a few red birds come and visit. The furnishings were nice and the bed was comfortable. We loved the big soft blue towels! The coffee and snacks were a plus.

Wonderful trip to Palo Duro

We had an amazing trip to Palo Duro canyon. The cabin is less than 2 miles from the park entrance and very convenient. It's a quiet area and we enjoyed our nightly visits from the longhorns and aoudad sheep who grazed just on the other side of the fence from our porch.
