Welcome to Mosaic! A collection of boutique cabins nestled in the heart of the Hill Country.

With all of this peace and quiet it's hard to believe you're just 12 minutes from Texas State University, downtown San Marcos and the San Marcos River.

We hope the blanket of stars at night and the stillness of the Hill Country leaves you feeling rejuvenated and content.
We are tucked away in the Hill Country, surrounded by dense forest and a blanket of stars at night. These boutique stays are perfect for anyone who wants all the privacy of the outdoors coupled with the convenience of being close to town.

We LOVED this cottage! It was super cute, super comfy, and the outdoor fire pit and hammock were excellent surprises! Will definitely come back!!

Little chalet on the hills

We loved our weekend getaway in the wood. Everything in the house was great. Very cozy and clean. Definitely recommend.

We didn't want to leave!

This property was clean and put together in such a thoughtful manner. We stayed for multiple days and noticed something cute and different each day. Check in and out was a breeze. Next time, I'm bringing the family. I definitely recommend this place with *****.

We experienced different insects and had a nice quiet stay. The only thing that can improve is being able to find the location in the dark. The signage could use updated and maybe some outside lights.

The drive to the cottage was a bit of a challenge in a small car. Rock roads with ruts made the car drag in some parts. The grass needed to be cut, the outside chairs needed cl cleaning cleaningcleanungcleaning

Cute character but....

Its got character. Its got nature. Its got a fun layout. But, for the price, the very least a host can do is the following: 1) keep the immediate grounds cleaned up prior to guest arrivals- trash on the ground, 2) Keep the shampoo and conditioner filled up and available, 3) ensure there are no holes in the exterior that bugs can get into (see wall AC unit in loft.)

This is out in the country off of a couple gravel roads and when we pulled in on our second night a strange man was lurking around the property. I tried to call the host and had no answer until they text me and then called once I said there was a man. Then the host tried to tell me they’d try to contact other guests to see if it’s them and that because he wasn’t screaming or banging on our door we should be fine. We left immediately and requested a refund for one night and they refused and offered us 50. The property was also not accurately described or well kept. It wasn’t clean and there were spiders in the bedroom. I would seriously reconsider the safety of this VRBO before booking, as they will not be honest or helpful if you run into any issues. I will add a picture of the inside of the bedroom closet door as it’s a good representation of this property.

Absolutely wonderful!

What a lovely property. Comfortable seating areas, beds, and amenities. The host dropped off a welcome gift and my party stayed up all night, giggling and having fun. The loft above the living room with 2 twin beds is perfect for children (or adventurous adults), and the master bedroom is cozy and cute. We loved the record player and records. Air conditioning was great, especially considering the heat wave. When you go to sleep, you can see the stars from the loft window and the only sounds are the cicadas. A word of warning: be prepared for outside bugs who try to come in the door. Also, it's a bit confusing to find -- the map app has you go down a super long dirt road. Trust the process and don't worry, the house is along the road and you will see it when you get there.
