Whether you’re here for a wedding, a Hill Country family vacation, or a peaceful riverfront cabin retreat, the River Ryder Cabin on the Blanco River is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and make unforgettable memories.
Guest Access:
Our property is gated and there is a large hill down to the cabins. Please be advised that you will need to climb a few stairs to get to the cabin from the parking area.
The Neighborhood:

The property is located just outside the city limits of Kyle, Texas, along the Blanco River. Our property contains three cabins with private river access to the Blanco River. All of the land in between the cabins and the river is available for your enjoyment.
We recommend the following local activities:
Shopping in Wimberley and Kyle, wineries in the hill country, floating/swimming with our private river access, shopping at San Marcos Outlet Mall or Cabela's, hiking, and more.
Getting Around:
A car is best suited for transportation to our property. Uber and Lyft are available, but they are not as reliable in recent months. We are approximate:
30 mins to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport,
55 mins to San Antonio International Airport, and
30 mins from New Braunfels.
There are several areas of interest in the surrounding area to explore in which a car would be necessary.
The cabins are approximate:
3 mins to Downtown Kyle,
25 mins to Downtown Wimberley for great local shopping,
15 mins to the San Marcos Outlet Mall,
25 mins to The Salt Lick in Driftwood, and
30 mins to Downtown Austin.
Other Things to Note:
Features Description:
• Security Cameras: For guest and property safety, exterior security cameras may be in use at this property. Cameras are located outside only and do not monitor interior spaces.
• Access: The front door is equipped with an electronic keypad. A unique door code will be sent to you a couple of days before check-in, no need to meet anyone for keys.
• Quiet Hours: 10 PM - 8 AM. Please keep noise levels down to respect our neighbors.
• Age: All guests must be 18+ with the exception of children with their parents.
• Weather: No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are outside our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage.
• Trash: Please dump liquids into the sink and not into trash bags. Place all trash into trash bags and secure them in the trash containers next to the driveway.
• Pets: All pets must be approved prior to arrival. An approved pet fee of $50 per pet, per night applies. Pets brought onto the property without prior approval will incur an unauthorized pet fee of $500 per pet.
• Pets are not allowed on the furniture. If the guest leaves the house, the pet should be kenneled or taken with them. If any damage is caused by the pet, there will be additional charges assessed reasonable to the damage made. Pets are not allowed in the home wet. Cats are not allowed in any of the homes. Please be respectful of the rules set forth above. We love dogs, but also want to make sure our cabin stays clean for future guests. We will send you a payment request for the non-refundable pet fee if you agree to the above rules.
• Check-In/Out: Check-in at 4:00 PM. Check-out at 11:00 AM. We charge $25 per hour for all requests for early check-in & late check-out, based on availability. Please note we may not be able to accommodate early check-ins/ late checkouts. Please message us for more details.
• Please bring your personal toiletries like toothpaste, deodorant, etc. A starter supply of the items listed above will be provided. Guests will provide their own supplies after depleting the starter supply of these items.

• Smoking, of any kind, is strictly forbidden on the entire property- inside & outside, and all trash needs to be properly disposed of.
• We will email you a Rental Release Agreement after booking. This agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking. Reservations may be canceled if the agreement is not signed. This correspondence will occur through our Channel Manager Guesty.
• A Security Deposit, of $300, must be paid prior to check-in and are refunded within 7 days of check-out, provided there are no damages to the property. Security deposit & rental agreement will be sent after the booking is confirmed.
• We can host a maximum of 5 guests (including all adults, children & infants)- for safety (fire & insurance) reasons, we cannot hold any additional guests.
• All amenities including outdoor furniture, wifi, etc are fully inspected prior to every check-in, however, we cannot guarantee their working condition during stays.
• We look forward to hosting all our upcoming guests. Our cleaning team is going above and beyond to provide top-notch services, giving special attention to high-touch areas, using commercial-grade anti-microbial agents, and having bed sheets and bath towels professionally laundered between each guest's stay. However, no guarantee will be made that our properties are "completely sterile" or "COVID-free", just as no other business can reasonably make that claim. Guests are advised to travel and stay with us at their discretion.
• We do not offer rescheduled stays or refunds on cancellations outside of Airbnb's extenuating circumstances policy. We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance at the time of booking if you are concerned about the possibility of canceling your trip last minute. Travel insurance is inexpensive and a great way to protect your funds in the event of an unforeseeable cancellation. We understand that last-minute cancellations for guests who choose to not purchase travel insurance can be a burden, however, we are required to uphold our owners' cancellation policies to protect their only sources of income and keep their properties in the business. Please book responsibly and we appreciate your understanding.
• Please note that we’re using a residential refrigerator, which can take several hours to cool, especially if it’s fully stocked.
• Any noise complaints or law enforcement calls to the home will result in immediate termination of your stay without a refund. A NoiseAware noise monitoring device is used to monitor external decibel (DB) levels as outlined per City/County Ordinance.

We encourage our guests to communicate via their booking platform! We are typically very responsive on the platform and will answer quickly. If there is a time sensitive matter, guests will be provided a phone number as well after booking.

The home was very clean and well stocked. The decor was cute. My family, enjoyed fishing and my dog loved splashing in the water. Lots of minnows and small perch. They practically swim up to you. The patio was fantastic and very relaxing. We got to see some turkeys, raccoons and deer. The location feels private but also so close to the city for food runs. There is a park nearby with more water access for fishing and swimming. We enjoyed visiting it. Communication with the host was great and we felt valued as guests.

Charming Cabin with Stunning Views
Our stay was wonderful! The cabin had everything we needed and is close to town for any quick trips to the grocery store or to grab a bite to eat.
It was clean, roomy and charming. You could see the attention to detail every where you look, complete with simple but chic and stylish decor. The property is stunning, with wild flowers, lots of butterflies and beautiful pecan and bald cypress. Short walk and easy access to the river front, which would be great for a day floating and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Enjoyed spending time just watching the sunset and playing with our dog who loves to run and fetch his ball! We didn't want to leave! Highly recommend and will be back again!

Top Shelf Property
Enjoyed our weekend stay at this Blanco riverfront property. Condition of the property is exceptional, very clean both inside and out. It appears to be relatively new construction so the amenities are all up to date and modern as one would expect. It accommodated our needs quite nicely.
WiFi connection was a snap and was solid for the entire weekend, enough bandwidth to do anything you want. Easy entry and exit to the property via electronic locking mechanism with guest code, access couldn't have been easier.
Communication with owners was very responsive and attentive, quite nice folks that own and run this property.
The highlight of this property is the location - it is well off the beaten path, toward the end of a dead end road, and quite distant from any main roads or thoroughfares. The setting is serene on the banks of the Blanco. If you're after a peaceful and quiet environment with none of the 'city life noises', this is the place. We will definitely return to this property on visits to the area.

Great property in a good location, close to all that Kyle offers. With very little rain and the hot summer, there was no river behind the house, unfortunate because we planned a lot of activities around the river. Not much owner can do on that one! Beautiful property and the house is great, especially to have two king beds for everyone to sleep comfortably.
