Absolutely lives up to the name of God’s Window, beautiful amazing, breath taking. Rooms are huge, comfortable beds, so much to do you didn’t have to leave the cabin, game room with a bar, hot tub and fire pit that made this home absolutely solitude and refreshing to start a new year. Clean and spacious for family. Cannot wait to book again for this piece of heaven.

Host was great, place was beautiful, with lots of cool little decor touches. They have tried to anticipate how to be sure their guests have what they need. Plenty things to entertain you while there. A few extra pillows would be good for those of us that need more than one.

The cabin was beautiful and the area is so nice. Even though it rained on a few of our days, we still were able to get out and enjoy Ellijay and surrounding areas. Our host was very responsive. There was a minor issue before we checked in with the hot tub and she notified us immediately and it was repaired the next day. The cabin was very clean and everything you could possibly need is available.

Great Getaway

Beautiful property. Great location for day trips to nearby Fort Mt and Amicalola State parks. Owner was attentive and responsive to all questions and home was well-cared for. Our family had such a wonderful time - game room downstairs was a BIG hit!.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is lovely - plenty of room for the whole family. The beds are comfortable, the game room was a big hit. The kitchen is well appointed and we had everything we needed for family dinners. We made smores in the firepit, which was our grandkids' favorite thing. The river in the neighborhood was on repeat - so beautiful and fun to visit. The owner, Laura was a huge help and very communicative to offer anything we could need. We went for the apple festival and the orchards were close by so that was convenient. We will definitely return!

Better than we could have dreamed!

We meet my sister and her family and had plenty of room for all of us! The kitchen had great pots and pans and cooking utensils for great home-made family meals. We played games around the huge georgous kitchen table. The basement was awesome for family bonding. The beds were very comfy. There is so much to do in LIJ and the house is at a great location. The private fishing hole was loved by the kids. Our dog loved all the outside time. The entire town is very dog friendly. Laura was great and very responsive!

Hi! My name is Laura and my husband Willem, and I live and work in the Tampa Bay Area. Willem is originally from South Africa, and I am from Kentucky. You will see both influences in our cabin!

We love meeting new people so choosing to be VRBO hosts was easy for us. Traveling and staying active, photography and woodworking is how I like to spend my free time. Our family has fallen in love with the Georgia mountains!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We fell in love with Ellijay many years ago and our dream was to have a real log cabin. Our dream was realized and finished at the end of 2022, finally! We love the outside, so it was very important to both of us to be able to feel like our home is part of the landscape. We are not fond of crowded neighborhoods and our property is nearly 5 acres. We built it as far from the road as possible to have more of a secluded feel.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The windows! The requirement for our cabin was to have beautiful windows. We named the property after a most beautiful location in South Africa called God's Window (Google it! You will love it!). Obviously, our property is not nearly the same scale, but it does have beautiful views. We get to see many deer passing by - wild turkeys and even the occasional black bear. There is also very little light pollution, so I hope you get a clear night - the stars are amazing!
