Great week!

We enjoyed the entire week at the Blue Horizon! The view from our deck was amazing, the whale watching was incredible and we had a peaceful relaxing experience. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful Condo

The entire condo was honestly very beautiful and more luxurious then we had expected. The floors are all marble/tile and the kitchen features brand new modern appliances. Large laundry room condo -which is a huge plus. I loved the fact that there are 2 full bathrooms in this condo, which are roomy. The front desk staff is also super helpful and friendly. Pool areas are gorgeously designed. Rooftop pool has the stunning views. The relatively remote location does mean you'll want to think ahead. Unfortunately we arrived after 7pm the first day. But we did stop at market on way from airport. They will keep your bags at front of store while you shop and then you can Uber to Blue Horizon from store. Bring jug of water they only provide 2 small bottled waters at first day of your checking in. Which is a nice gesture if you come unprepared. If you want to do the cooking in the condo, you need to plan for a trip to the market, which is a solid 20min ride. There is 2 Oxxo locations one south of condo (15 min walk) or one toward Mismaloya beach (10 min walk). Uber is readily available or front desk will be happy to call you a taxi. Everyone is extremely helpful here and the place is well worth the small drive away from hustle of the city of Puerto Vallarta. Do yourself a favor and relax here. Ocean views from your wrap around balcony. I might add the town of Boca de Tamatlan is worth a visit while you stay.

Things you need to know!

The condo was new/fresh/clean! Pools “the best”! However
.there was no instructions for NEEDED commodities. We had to ask residents living there how to haul water (can’t drink the water in that condo). It is NOT close to grocery stores/restaurants. Bus system easy but no one explained how to use! Finally
..I have a disability walking. I asked for a simple ease by needing a chair with arms to be placed on the balcony for safety from falls. There were a ton in the lobby not being used (chair light and easy to carry). The management said “yes” to the chair (after thinking about it). Everyday I went down to ask about the simple request to have the chair in my room. I never got the chair after a 2 week stay. Staff just sitting in the lobby unhelpful. Beautiful condo

POORLY ran. Wouldn’t return! They could easily have full instructions in a small book in the condo on how “things work”. Instead you have to rely on asking other residents. Soooooo frustrating. Staff NOT helpful. If you go to this lovely condo remember you need to bring EVERYTHING for daily comfort (from water to salt/pepper to your own chair)!

Extremely spacious - amazing views

My wife and I stayed at the end of November. The unit is extremely spacious and clean. The views from our balcony and both pools were amazing. The unit is exactly as advertised but you need to know you are isolated. The closest store is an Oxxo about 10 minutes The only small negative was the unit did not have any ice or even ice cube trays to make ice so we had to walk to the Oxxo and purchase ice. Other than that the unit itself, the complex, and the staff were all 5 stars and the views are the best we have ever seen in the PV area.

Blue Horizon in Wonderful

My wife and I stayed at Blue Horizon for 8 days. The property is amazing. Stellar views of the ocean - and whales jumping directly off shore of the balcony. The property is new, the finishings are high end. We spent most of our time at the roof-top pool. A few things to note if you are wanting to be a guest: * The property is on the south shore of the Banderas Bay. We had a car to get around and they do have a shuttle - but you will need to either bus or shuttle to get to restaurants etc as the property is a little remote. Our unit also had the bedroom on the back (highway side) and not on the ocean side. Most other units had the bedroom on the ocean side. While this didn't bother us a whole lot you will get noise from the road and especially the dogs that bark constantly at night. To be fair, we did hear from other residents that they have complained about this issue so hopefully it will be resolved. This unit is listed for sale and is currently being rented by the property manager and not a "home owner" As such, basic essentials like dishwasher pucks, dish clothes, dish towels, salt, pepper etc were lacking. I am sure its just a growing pain while they get up and running - but again, I believe their end goal is for the sale of the unit. So don't arrive expecting the typical essentials that you would find in an owner-operated property. Finally - there was an issue with cloudiness of the pool the first couple of days that was eventually corrected, followed by cloudiness of the hot tubs. We didn't bring it to anyone's attention and property management resolved these issues on their own. In the end, these were small problems for the price we paid. (The price was beyond fair and affordable when compared to any other VRBO we have rented in Mexico.) Book a stay at the property - the good by far outweighed any bad. You will love your stay.
