All units at the Velas have an authentic mexican charm inside and Frank’s is no exception, but the thing that stands out about Frank’s unit is it’s in building 2 which is central to everything (lobby, tennis courts, restaurant, pool) and that building also has the best views straight out to the ocean. Frank was very responsive throughout and helped resolved a very minor issue early in our stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the property with our fiends(in a separate suite) and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The restaurant, pool, bar, beach and views were great. The suite was clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely view.

12th visit to beautiful PV

This is our first time to stay in a VRBO. Usually, we stay in a resort or hotel. We would stay at this property again. Velas Vallarta is beautiful! There are several pools to choose from, the beach cabanas are available at no extra charge. Staff are great! Birds are not a problem since a professional falconer was present. We did not eat at the property, so no opinion on that. The bed in our room was so comfortable! The condo was perfect for my husband and I.

Great vacation spot.

Velas Vallarta is a beautiful old fashion Mexican resort. Very well maintained. Beautiful gardens with fish ponds and 3 swimming pools linked by a river pool. Nice warm water. 2 restaurants. Andrea for more formal eating and Ribera on the beach. Both well staffed with great waiters.The food is average. Some Mexican and each day they have an international theme (Mexican style) The room was very comfortable with a very comfortable King Size bed. The furnishings are sparse but adequate. The kitchen had most things you would need unless you intend to cook up a storm. There are many restaurants in the Marina. It is a hefty walk there from the hotel but we took taxis for less than 5. Prime has the best steak you've ever had but pricey. Already booked for next year.

Wonderful Velas stay

We had a great stay at Frank's one bedroom condo for 2 weeks. Wish it was longer. The Velas is a beautiful resort on the beach and they take care of checking in and out as they do with all of the hotels guests as well as supplying beach towels and other services. Would definitely stay again.

Ocean delight

Ocean & mountain views from our balcony made our morning coffee a special time. Resort benefits & services were exceptional. Resort doctor helped locate a competent dentist.We will return again to this lovely place. dentist.

Poor experience

We’ve stayed in PV multiple times over the years and this is our first stay at Velas Vallarta. While the property itself is ok, I would recommend that you review the photos of multiple properties within this resort- as I am told, each property owner units can vary. This unit is very rundown, musty, and filthy. The owner was very kind, and reimbursed us our last night after we fell sick, so that was very nice- however it doesn’t change that for 6 days the condition of the unit was very poor:Bed: comfortable, with decent pillows and beddingShowed: very dirty and water does not warm up )had maintenance come to repair but no fix)Kitchen: not very useable- big fridge but cookware was put away dirty and not a good variety- there is a blender and toaster (nice to have)Sofa: faux leather fold out ikea style bed which may be ok for you g children to sleep on, but not super comfy Walls/overall condition: in dire need of fresh paint and cleaning-Location of unit: the pickleball tennis courts are below so if you want to hear the bouncing of balls while in unit, you will be fine

This was my first booking with owner Frank. He was a fantastic owner and very accommodating and responsive. The staff at Velas are second to none; that’s why I always return, which will do so again very soon.

A great week at Velas Vallarta!

Great location, safe with close proximity to the Marina for many restaurant options at reasonable prices. Velas Vallarta is a lovely resort: lots of greenery, with friendly staff who are conscientious looking after the guests & diligent in keeping the resort clean & tidy.

Feels like home away from home

First, I need to know what kind of bed this was because I've never slept better. Second, the futons were great places for siestas. We spent about $150 at Walmart on day 1 for some beers, tequila and vodka along with brekfast materials (eggs, cheese tortillas, bacon, hot sauce etc.) And lunch supplies that lasted the entire week.We got some toilet paper and paper towels just in case and glad we did. All the kitchenware was perfect. We ate breakfast each morning on the beautiful balcony before hitting up the pool. This was the perfect spot to go back to and relax from the heat and grab some quick lunch. The location is central to the marina and the staff is top notch. Only downside is the construction next door very early and the TVs only had 2 channels. One in Spanish and the other was HBO kids. But will definitely be staying there again! The property is a first class operation extremely well maintained and staffed, that is prepared to meets all your needs.The hotel lobby and staff make you feel very welcomed always smiling and courteous. We enjoy all the hotel benefits, onsite activites, spa, exercise room, room service and resturants while being in the comfort of our own condo. The staff is very professional,friendly and efficent. The casual beachfront restuarant is great for morning breakfest and meals together with the comfort and convenience of being able to order drinks and meals by the pool/beach. An all day spa for total relaxation to complete your vacation experience .We have had great family vacations and memories and are sure you will also.
