I loved my stay here! The hosts were very easy to get ahold of and had quick response times. My room was attached to the main house but had a separate entrance and it was so cozy and had a window overlooking some of the farm animals, which I loved getting to say hi to. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Place for 2!

Loved the location - beautiful views and beautiful property. Was the right amount of space with perfect amenities - down to the little chocolates by the coffee station! Meet some horses, dogs and goats on property - highlight of my stay.

The best lodgings and host we have had on our tour of Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Colorado! Lisa and Billy were wonderful and we had the best nights rest!

Peaceful and beautiful stay.

Our stay was very comfortable and Billy and Lisa went above and beyond to help with our car issues. He was able to give us local info for both repairs and car rental. I can’t thank you enough as this made it possible to do all the activities we had scheduled. Your place is so beautiful and relaxing. The sunsets!!!! Thank you so much!

Bill & Lisa Akers, owners of Crooked Sky Ranch, where we are blessed to raise grass fed, full blood and pure bred Dorper sheep. Our Mission is to breed Dorper sheep for commercial and breeding stock in a sustainable, enjoyable, easily managed animal Ranch enterprise.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We did not want to live in a neighborhood per se, as we are forty peaceful and tranquil acres with over 50,000 acres to our south and 2000 acres to our east and only the sight of a home to the west 1/4 of a mile away. We have the luxury of 360° views along with peace and quiet, with the exception of the occasional horse nicker or sheep baa. All this and we are still less than 7 miles from downtown Cortez.

Crooked Sky Ranch is a working sheep ranch affording guests a private en-suite experience with separate private entrance, Stearns & Foster King Size bed (cot available), and uninterrupted 360 degree vistas of the La Platas, Mesa Verde and Sleeping Ute Mountain. 10 minutes into town but at the end of a road next to thousands of acres for the ultimate in privacy. Close to Wineries, Biking, Skiing, Hiking, Trains and more. The activities are endless and relaxation is also available.

This is a new construction with separate entrance, King sized bed, and amenities such as mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, controls for heated floor, air conditioner, hair dryer, 50" smart TV and DVD player. We provide coffee, tea, snacks, dishes and utensils. The private bathroom comes with a large tiled shower and beautiful furniture vanity with vessel sink. Towels ,washcloths, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. If you require anything else please do not hesitate to ask.
There's NO SMOKING in the room, however, this is Colorado and smoking outside is OK! We state that we accommodate 3, (King Sized Bed and a large cot or air mattress) but we have other beds available if requested. We observe quiet time from 10 pm and 6 am. There is also plenty of parking available out front with a circle drive. The key is available by coded lock box that is on the wall to the right of the Guest entrance.
Other things to note
You can enjoy the close proximity to Mesa Verde National Park and the star gazing in a certified "Dark Sky Park" area. On a clear night gaze at the Milky Way. We have menus from the local restaurants in the room, along with maps and information on local wineries, National Parks, Snow Skiing and more. And again if you have any questions please ask.
