Accueillant Eco-Friendly Oceanfront Cottage sur Sunshine Coast

Bienvenue à Stillwater Beach House, situé sur la magnifique baie Frolander dans la zone sud de Stillwater Powell River, en Colombie-Britannique Nous sommes sur le front de mer, niché au milieu des immenses arbres à feuilles persistantes avec des vues incroyables sur le détroit de Malaspina et de l'ßle Texada. Quel que soit le temps, le cadre est vraiment magnifique à tous les moments de l'année!

Cette escapade confortable est un, gĂźte maison de plage «éco-friendly» avec l'ocĂ©an Ă  quelques mĂštres. Il est un endroit idĂ©al oĂč vous pourrez vous dĂ©tendre et profiter des nombreuses activitĂ©s de plein air cette belle rĂ©gion a Ă  offrir. Very welcoming host, shared lots of local tips. We were even shown a local baker’s little stand where we bought some amazing baked goods, a cherry on top of the weekend! The view of course was breathtaking, lots of seals to watch and listen to, felt like we were IN the water, we were that close. Even though the hosts were in the main house, the separate beach house felt like it was on an entirely different property, very private!

Gracious hosts, a quiet location in a charming cottage with nice walks close by made for a truly enjoyable stay. Sunny or stormy weather , it is a great location! Every need was anticipated and provided for with a well furnished kitchen, comfortable beds, deep soaker tub, wood stove prepped and ready for the match and an outside barbecue and fire pit to roast the hot dogs. The closeness to the water and the views were magical . The cottage decor and layout were well thought out and made for a relaxing stay. Thank you! We will be back.

Absolutely magical. This cabin is bwautiful, wonderfully decked out and filly equipped. Right on the water with stunnkng, uninterrupted views. Full kitchen, woodstove, and outdoor fire pit. Bed and pillows super comfortable,; wake up to ocean breeze and waves lapping. Amazing, deep bathtub with the forest right outside the window. Entire place is clean, comfortable, and well laid out. Hosts are kind and accommodating. We will come back as soon as we can.

A Treasure by the Sea

If you love the sound of waves, the gentle roaring of sea lions, amazing hikes within easy driving distance and a wonderful couple of hosts,then this beautifully laid out cottage by the sea is for you!! I know we are looking forward to making this an annual holiday for us..it was wonderful.

Beautiful and serene

Absolutely stunning location, cottage very well-outfitted, easy driving distance to Powell River and great walking and hiking. Lots of cormorants, mergansers, bald eagles, loons and grebes, not to mention harbor seals and barking sea lions. Hosts were awesome. We hope to come back!

Coziest Beach Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. The views were stunning and the cabin was so beautifully decorated and made for such a relaxing experience. The hosts were fantastic and very helpful. The area is very private and beautiful with a peaceful setting. Absolutely loved our stay here.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was very well equipped, tastefully decorated and provided a breathtaking view! Our hosts were absolutely great and a pleasure to deal with. If you are looking for a cozy, private retreat with all the comforts of home and scenery that can't be matched I highly recommend staying here.

The hosts were amazing!! We broke down on our way and they offered to come pick us up. They greet you when you arrive and say goodbye when you leave. This was a very nice change from other places. The house is absolutely stunning, cozy, very clean and the views are outstanding!! Waking up in the morning to the sounds of Eagles and seals was dreamy . Our dog especially loved the water. The cabin has everything that you need and then anything that you may have forgotten! The views are outstanding! We will be back!! We highly recommend checking this place out !!

Amazing time!

Everything about our stay was excellent: swimming in the ocean, relaxing at the cottage, watching the seals and sunsets. It is a magical place. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. We've already booked our next stay.

Wonderful winter getaway

Incredible ocean side location in a quaint lovely cottage. Incredible views and lovely wood burning fireplace to keep the place cozy. Pro tip, give the hosts your arrival eta so they can warm the place up for arrival. Place had everything you need and a good base to explore Powell River.

Lovely place!

Christine & Jock were wonderful hosts - we really appreciated the easy check-in and we were on our own quickly. The cottage is so cute, clean, well-equipped and private. The view is amazing from the cottage, deck or lower guest area. We were looking for a quiet stay to unwind and that is just what we got!

New Years Stay

We stayed here for 5 nights over the new year. Saw humpbacks, sea lions, seals and otters from the deck. A beautiful location about 20 minutes from Powell River. Plenty of hiking trails nearby.

A piece of Heaven

Great relaxing stay, a little piece of heaven right on the ocean , loved that it was dog friendly . Would recommend this for a family or just an adult's get-a-way. Great location off the main Hwy close to the Sunshine Coast trail . John and Christine were excellent hosts ! See you next year !

This place was amazing. It was better than we had hoped it would be. Relaxing, Quiet, and beautiful . Christine and Jock were top notch and full of good information when asked. It was perfect for a couples get away and even had room for the kids Our only regret is not booking it for a longer stay.

We purchased the above property with an old cabin on the beach as a getaway from the pressures of city life in Vancouver. This quiet rural area known as 'Stillwater' twenty kilometers, south of Powell River became our family's place of tranquility and restoration. When we both retired in 2001 we moved from Vancouver to commence building our retirement home. A few years later we decided to renovate the 'old cabin' and recently completed our eco-friendly 'Beach House' which we now offer for your enjoyment.
