Nothing like a stay at Hemingway at 30A! Located in Seacrest Beach, this laid-back beach rental offers four furnished bedrooms, four baths, and can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests.
Upon stepping onto this property, you are immediately transported to a world of beach architecture and southern charm. The open front porch includes rocking chairs, perfect for a relaxed evening chatting with friends and sipping a refreshing drink. An additional wrap-around porch above provides another cozy spot to enjoy a glass of lemonade or a margarita.
When you walk into the bright and open living room, you are greeted with high ceilings and windows. A queen sleeper sofa, accent chairs, and ottoman provide a comfortable seating ensemble, great for gatherings or enjoying entertainment on the flatscreen TV. A hardwood table in the dining room seats eight, while additional seats are provided at the kitchen’s granite-topped island. A queen guest bedroom on this main lower level has a wall-mounted TV, sunny windows, and access to a shared hallway bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
Upstairs, the spacious primary bedroom features a king-size bed, a private luxury bath with a walk-in shower, and doors leading to the covered balcony. The remaining main-house bedrooms is decorated with beach cottage charm and includes a queen-size bed, private bath with a tub/shower combination, direct balcony access.
The final guest bedroom is located in a carriage house with a queen-size bed. This cozy mother-in-law suite also boasts its own living room with a queen sleeper sofa and balcony access, a full kitchen, laundry, and bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower.
Besides the home itself, this rental location offers guests a number of great amenities, to include a sparkling paradise of interconnected swimming pools only a block away. Tropical gardens, towering palm trees, and picnic pavilions border this enchanting setting. An outdoor amphitheater stages occasional seasonal concerts. A beach tram is also available to take guests to the glittering Gulf Coast beach, which is only minutes away. Or, you may choose to hop on one of the eight bikes provided at the home to peddle down to the beach or explore the quaint town of Seacrest Beach.
This sought-after location boasts a breakfast place, sandwich shop, pizzeria, and Mexican restaurant nearby. It is also only a short distance from Rosemary Beach, which offers a variety of restaurants, bistros, galleries, specialty shops, clothing boutiques, free outdoor concerts, and fun seasonal events and festivals.

The house was perfect for our family. We stayed in the guest house and the kids and spouses stayed in the main house. The house is close to the main pool and has a cute park in the backyard.

Do not stay at 30A Hemmingway!For the first two days, the master suite was nearly unusable due to a flying ant "infestation" (word used by the maintenance team). A professional exterminator finally came out on Day 3 of our stay. We later learned that the house had been treated for the same issue the previous week. The ants are streaming out of the recessed lighting in the master suite and are clearly in the "attic"--but we could not locate access. The living room couch was so dirty, we covered it with a sheet all week; the washing machine was fixed by Day 4; the malfunctioning ceiling fan was replaced by Day 4; the kitchen included only 4 forks and the plate/bowl selection appears to be from a grab bag at a yard sale. How is the house set to accommodate 12 when you have 4 forks? I ate steak with a spoon. I also had to purchase a grill brush to clean the filthy grill.The Ocean Reef team did an incredible job of working to address many of the issues noted above, but this appears to be a case of an owner taking advantage of a zip code to generate revenue from individuals who are stuck upon arrival with an outdated and poorly equipped house.On the good side, the location is excellent and the Ocean Reef Team was very professional. They just can't overcome a poorly maintained property. This property is not worth 50% of what I paid.For the next renter; you have a clean grill and two cans of Raid under the master suite sink--you are going to need it.

While we're glad our team was able to respond promptly by coordinating pest control, repairing the washing machine, replacing the ceiling fan, and addressing other issues during your stay, we recognize that these disruptions impacted your vacation and should not have occurred.
Your comments regarding the cleanliness of the furnishings, the condition of the grill, and the kitchen inventory have been shared with both our property management and housekeeping teams, as well as the homeowner. We are conducting a thorough review to ensure these concerns are fully addressed before future guests arrive.

Weekend getaway
This house was delightful! The location is perfect we could bike anywhere. The management made it so easy with the bikes and armbands there when we arrived. It might now work for families with many small children bc one bedroom is downstairs and the other is a separate apt. but if you're staying with friends or older kids, it's perfect. Bathroom door handles on second floor are off. Blender is great addition- Thank you!
