Our listing describes the apartment as "newly furnished," and we stand by that statement! While it is part of historic Newport, giving it plenty of character, it is not a new construction and the appliances are as pictured in the listing . We make it a priority to address maintenance needs, and we have recently removed the garbage disposal. There is a standard one-time cleaning fee included in our listing. If a cleaning service had been requested during your stay, we would have been more than happy to arrange that for you. We strive to prepare thoroughly for every guest, and our cleaning protocols are very important to us. The house was cleaned prior to your arrival. You mentioned needing to clean one item when you contacted us, but we were not informed of any other cleanliness issues. To clarify, our prompt response with additional supplies was not due to a cleaning oversight. You conducted an inventory of items in the house and asked for more supplies for your month-long stay. We requested that you send us a shopping list, and without hesitation, we provided everything you requested, from paper towels, toilet paper, new coffee cups, cleaning supplies to your preferred laundry detergent brand.
