When we arrived, we were shocked to see how run down the property was and the area was sketchy. There were homeless people and others who appeared to be under the influence at 11am. Yes, the beach is across the road BUT it is also run down. Most of the shops in that area are closed. The previous occupants told us how disappointed they were with the room. The bathroom in particular.. the fan didnât work and you couldnât open the window because the people across the street could see in, and the paint was peeling. Our room was in the process of being cleaned so we got to take a look and was disappointed at the size of the room and the couch that I was told opens to a sleeper was not much bigger than an ottoman. The size for a toddler to sleep on. Not a teenager. We called VRBO and the property manager to cancel our room and was told to take pictures. However, the on site manager would not allow us. When we called and emailed the property manager we got no answer to either. We needed to find different accommodation and saw no reason to wait around for check in at 4:00 so we never checked in. We asked multiple times to be refunded and was denied.
I am only writing this because I feel people should know what theyâre getting into if they book here.
