The Pink cottage on West Beach, water front , short walk to beach

The Pink Cottage started as a fishing shack in 1955, the year after hurricane Hazel. In 1968 the 2 bedrooms and a bathroom were added. Also the back porch was enclosed and the kitchen was added including a large deck facing the water. In 2021 the shack was completely renovated and became The Pink Cottage. An enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water was added. The kitchen is fully furnished including a dishwasher. The pink cottage overlooks Montgomery Slough with its tidal creek where at low tide the many species of birds feed, at high tide watch for the dolphins. You may access the Slough at 17th Place West where you can catch your own shrimp, crab, or just explore the marsh with all its abundant life. You can also launch your kayak from this access. You don't have to worry about beach parking - it is just a short walk to the beach.

The house was absolutely spotless and smelled so clean the entire time we were there. The host was quick to respond and answered all questions. Host thought of every little thing that might be needed while staying and it checked every box. The decorations were so lovely and made the cottage cozy and sweet. The view from the back deck was breathtaking as the sun set, and nights rocking by the water were simply peaceful. We truly didn’t want to leave. Would absolutely stay again and will tell friends. Cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Pink Cottage. One of our favorite places we have ever stayed. The views are simply amazing and the house was so clean. Everything we needed was stocked and you can tell so much thought was put into this home. Beach access is walking distance right across the street and we found so many great shells. John and Sarah are so sweet and really made sure our stay was great! This is a little slice of heaven and we cannot wait to come back!

The Pink Cottage is perfect. A lovely little home on the tidal creek. It has beautiful marsh views (we saw an amazing sunset) and is a quick walk to the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the mini-split system kept the house nice & cool. The hosts have thought of everything to make this a wonderful stay.

Great stay

House is very clean, nicely decorated and well suited to a couple or small family. We loved the location right on the marsh and enjoyed watching the birds. The beach access is also very convenient. The owners were very nice and helpful before/during our stay. We only regret we didn't book a full week!
