Just breathe in that fresh mountain air when you arrive, nestled in the woods at Fern Forest. Yes, this is a cabin experience like no other! Enjoy the amenities of aromatherapy, eco-friendly products, custom herbal tea blend, and much more. At Fern Forest, you can take your mind off your worries by channeling your inner child...yes, we have a many creative activities for you! Self-care might mean unwinding in one of our hammock swings or sitting by the fire. Our guidebook rocks too!

Quiet, forest area located near Highway 64 for ease of access but not too close :) You'll pass a lovely local farm on your drive into Fern Forest Cabin Many enjoy staying in the cabin and appreciate the amenities and creative activities we have for you. However, many also enjoy exploring and adventuring in the area. Be sure to check out our Guidebook when you arrive...all of our favorite hikes, restaurants, shopping, farmer's markets, live music, etc. are in here ready for you to enjoy! So you want to know more about the creative activities? Yes, of course you do! Enjoy feeding the birds by making your own easy-peasy bird feeders and hang them on a nearby tree. Try your hand at nature drawing. There is a step-by-step book for various plants, animals, etc. equipped with paper and colored pencils. And one more that I'll share...nature stamping. Go outside and collect some items...or if the weather is not so good...use food items like apples, sliced oranges, etc. There is a beautiful book to follow along and some paper with ink pads. Have fun! Did you know that when you create...stress releases. It's true! Fern Forest Cabin is here to help you de-stress and just breathe :)

This was the second time we had stayed at this cabin . The driveway was scary the first time , this time it had gotten worse . Although we love the set-up of the cabin . This time though the cleaners had been kind of lacking . I had to wash all of the dishes before we could use them . Had to replace all batteries in all remotes due to them being dead . I ended up having an allergic reaction to the bedding so i had to wash the sheets and towels .

Cozy cabin

This cabin was fantastic and so cute. I loved the fireplace and the screened in porch. The only downfall was the pots and pans to cook with. They were horrible and everything we tried to cook stuck to the pans and the handles got very hot. Other than that I would definitely recommend this cabin to others!

Mountain Oasis

Perfectly located! Set back in the woods so it's kinda secluded but not too far from anything ! We visited for our 23 wedding anniversary! I could have stayed forever!

Quiet Woods Getaway

I wanted a smaller cabin for myself as a base for visiting local friends and this worked great. A nice porch for enjoying a quiet read in the morning and more than enough space for two or three people. Quick access to 'major' highway to get to where you need to go. Overall very happy with the cabin.

I have a thriving Holistic Health Coaching business and Lenny has many ventures including SEO, website development, and real estate investment. I (Jennifer) had many years in the hospitality industry working for 4 star hotels so when Lenny and I started talking about vacation rentals...it really was a great fit with both of our backgrounds; real estate and hospitality. We started in 2020 and are absolutely loving it! We personally enjoy traveling globally and almost always stay in vacation rentals. We enjoy the diversity offered in each city/region we travel and enjoy getting to know our hosts along the way :) Since I'm typically the one interacting with our guests, I will share that I love hearing why you are here traveling to this area of North Carolina. It's also very exciting when our guests come back over and over again :)

We hope you enjoy your time at Fern Forest Cabin and in the town of Murphy. It has quite a charm and is centrally located to many other mountain towns in just a 1-hour radius.

After launching our first vacation rental, Forest Therapy, we decided to embark on finding another. It wasn't long before we found what became Fern Forest Cabin. I'll never forget driving on Mist Flower Lane for the first time passing that adorable little farm where you can get fresh eggs and then driving amongst the trees. When we drove up the driveway and entered the cabin...it was perfect! The perfect couples getaway :)

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Making this log cabin home into a relaxing vibe for couples was such a fun project! We wanted it to be a place where our guests arrived and said, "ah...we are here...time to just relax!". We chose to create many seating areas outside, along with areas that you could enjoy dining inside and out. The other priority was making it a home that you could have a workcation. Many of us can work from anywhere, so why not a log cabin in the mountains right? We made sure that we could get high-speed internet. I don't know if you know this but in the mountains this is rare. We have great fiber optic WIFI :) Adding amenities like herbal tea, honey, cookies, aromatherapy with essential oils, personal care products and a fully stocked kitchen were easy to do since these are things we like when we travel too :) Making the king size bed super comfortable was high on the list, offering various types of pillows and a duvet comforter ensuring a great night's sleep.
The location is phenomenal! Just 20 minute drive from downtown Murphy and grocery stores. Also, super close to dozens of mountain towns and attractions.
