Le nid de la chouette est une cabane isolĂ©e en bois rond nichĂ©e sur 14 acres au large d'une allĂ©e privĂ©e entourĂ©e par le service forestier. IdĂ©alement situĂ© Ă  seulement 3, 5 miles du centre-ville de Murphy oĂč vous pourrez faire du shopping, des antiquitĂ©s, des restaurants / bars. Il y a beaucoup Ă  faire et voyez si vous ĂȘtes Ă  la recherche d'une expĂ©rience relaxante de «vous Ă©loigner de tout» tout en Ă©tant assis sur le pont de la cabine donnant sur les bois, en profitant d'une soirĂ©e paisible au feu de camp ou si vous voulez vous aventurer et explorer la rĂ©gion.

RandonnĂ©es pĂ©destres, pĂȘche, canoĂ«, VTT Ă  quelques minutes de la cabane. Prenez 30 minutes en voiture pour profiter du rafting en eau vive sur la riviĂšre Ocoee ou Nantahala, la tyrolienne, le kayak ou l'Ă©quitation. PrĂšs du John C. L'Ă©cole Campbell Folk oĂč vous pourrez assister Ă  des concerts, suivre des cours et assister au cĂ©lĂšbre festival d'automne en octobre. Host was very nice and accommodating. Cabin was a great value for the cost and close enough to the town of Murphy without the traffic. There was coffee and firewood. A big plus!

The cabin was perfectly tucked away but not far from town, and came with anything you’d need! The hosts are so gracious and welcoming. They made us feel comfortable and safe. The views and surrounding nature were beautiful as well. Our hosts really went above and beyond though and really made the trip! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Will definitely be coming back

All the hype is true. Both Randy and Janice are excellent host. The property though small is immaculate and super comfortable. I loved the abundance of windows and the wooded views all around. The property is super secluded with an assurance that the hosts live near by. Cell phone signal was strong once you get to the cabin. Please remember that navigation is inaccurate and will take you to a road that is not drivable but it is not host’s fault. They have clearly given the directions and they are super easy to follow. You do not need a special vehicle to get to the cabin and it is close to downtown as well. I highly recommend The Owl’s Nest for unwinding and relaxing for few days. Thank you Randy and Janice for providing such a cool place.

This was the perfect little cabin setting for us - tucked away on its own crest, surrounded by woods. Amenities covered everything we could need. Loved the fire pit. Conveniently located to restaurants and groceries, while feeling secluded. Check in and check out simple. Janice was very responsive with any questions and they were wonderful hosts all the way around.

"We thoroughly enjoy staying in this cabin and are pleased to be returning for our second consecutive Thanksgiving. We appreciate the attention to detail demonstrated by the owner. The only drawback is the fire alarm's proximity to the oven, as it can be triggered by cooking activities. Nonetheless, it's a lovely little cabin."

Cozy, peaceful cabin with everything you need! This was my second stay here and I will be back. Out in the woods with wildlife all around but also conveniently close to town and other towns. Easily accessible road and entry system. Great hosts!!

The cabin was perfect. And that fold out couch is the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Easy to understand and follow instructions on how to get in, temperature control and check out. Hot water on demand - no waiting for the shower or the sink to warm up. Cabin is very clean, kitchen is well equipped. We didn’t cook this trip but if I decide to be a vendor at the John C Campbell Fall Festival again next year, I’ll be back. Randy and Janice are very accommodating and easily accessible, although we had no problems during our stay. And these two old ladies felt safe there way back in the woods (we both used to camp when we were a lot younger). Thank you for sharing this wonderful little cabin with us. PS - there are quite a few really tasty restaurants near by. We had a different cuisine each night!

I was so impressed that the host called to tell us that we could come early as the cabin had been cleaned and was ready for us.Very well equipped house, peaceful and charming. Great recommendation for dinner. Wonderful new mattress!!! Watched the deer every night come through the property. Just what we needed, escape from everyday life.

1 week at Owl's Nest

First off the place is awesome! We were at the Owl's Nest for 1 week with a trailer and a bike. There is not a lot of maneuvering space but we were able to make it work. The hosts are great! Really facilitated our stay. The cabin is cozy but we had everything we needed and more. Randy spreads feed almost every day so you are sure to see deer and turkey feeding where the fire pit is located. Cabin is secluded but the owners live down the street (out of view) in case you need anything. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be going back....

Perfect quiet getaway

What a perfect cabin this is. So cozy and comfortable with everything you need to relax and unwind. We spent a weekend here enjoying the scenery, the small hiking trail and the visiting turkeys that would stroll through the property. The cabin is clean, quiet and nicely tucked away by itself. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare meals and there's an abundance of towels in the bathroom to choose from. Janice is a wonderful host...very friendly, communicative and helpful. Although the cabin is secluded, it's nice to know that she's not too far down the road in case something is needed. I can't think of anything I'd change about this wonderful cabin.

Quiet setting, but close to everything

Cabin was cozy and well stocked. There was plenty of information about area restaurants and attractions, as well as instructions on using the AC, TV and washer/dryer. The hosts thought of everything. Would recommend this place to friends and family.

We came to Murphy in 1996 from Lake Mary, Florida, on vacation and fell in love with this mountain town and surrounding areas. We purchased a home while on vacation and 1 year later we decided to move here permanently. Our dream was to build a cabin on our property where others could come and enjoy the mountains.

The cabin is only 3.5 miles from town which is convenient for guests, however, the privacy and seclusion makes you feel like you are a million miles away.
