About this space
Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape.
The space
Relax and unwind from a busy schedule, you will enjoy this peaceful, serene environment away from it all and yet conveniently located near many springs, beaches and theme parks. It is a rural area and is away from the city lights.
Located on the withlacooche river, perfect for kayaking, fishing or swimming. There’s so much wildlife to see it’s actually amazing . Great place to relax, read and do something different.

Many fast food an restautants close by as well as many grocery stores, close to the Whitlacooche state trail, Joy Lam Drive In movie theater and Downtown Dade City and a 45 min drive from the Tampa Int'l airport and Bush Gardens

Large Group, no problem we do have 1 additional RV on the property that can accomodate up to 6 ppl and we can also provide a tent with air mattress at an additional cost. (if available)

Riverside Retreat

Clean, quiet, + cute. There are a handful of things to enjoy on the property. A tree platform, kayaks, a movie projector screen spot, and a couple fire pits. The river along the property is very cool.

Great Place

This place was the most relaxing location I’ve ever stayed at. It was perfect for just enjoying the outside and nature whether you were sitting by the river or hanging in the hammock. The owners were wonderful, always checking on me to see if I needed anything. I will definitely go back to Riverside Retreat. ❀

Nice getaway

Wr stayed here for 3 nights. The Host lives on property and they are amazing. Communication was fabulous. We really enjoyed the camper and the grounds. Our dog got along great with the hosts dogs and she had a blast running back & forth for firewood. We needed for nothing. We left there relaxed and fulfilled. We would like to plan to stay a few more tines a year. Thank you for the amazing weekend.

Little oasis

This place was a great place to stay, we had such a relaxing time and the kids had plenty to do. There were kayaks to use and we went fishing and relaxed by the fire. They even set up a projector outside and they had popcorn and which was a huge hit with the kids. Only con I would say was the camper could have been a little bit cleaner and I would say to bring your own blankets and sheets. Overall, we had a great time and Sandra was so responsive and helpful for whatever we needed.

Wonderful peaceful getaway

This was a very relaxing peaceful GLAMPING experience! The rv was clean and had everything we needed and was very comfortable for my husband and I and our 5 year old . The hosts were very accommodating and friendly and just really nice people. Very quiet peaceful location near a river with fishing and kayaking. And a fire pit and we even played darts on the outdoor dartboard! We stayed 4 nights and will definitely stay again if we are in the area visiting!! Would definitely recommend if you are just wanting to get away from the noise of everyday life and recharge.

Serene Oasis For The Entire Family

This property radiates with peace and serenity. This was my first time ever using VRBO. VRBO caused a bit of a headache but the hosts did everything they could to help the situation even though it was of no fault of their own. As soon as I stepped onto Riverside Retreat, all of my worries and stresses washed right down the Withlacoochee River. They have a beautiful treehouse that's perfect for stargazing, a projector and screen for movie nights with the other campers, many kayaks and fishing supplies to choose from.. I am just so unbelievably impressed with this beautiful oasis and give it a million stars!

Riverside Retreat

Would like a credit back for 1 night. Dates Feb.21st - 25th. 1st night was no heat 43 degrees. 3rd night no A/C. Went home 1 day early as we woke up on the 24th with the roof leaking and water all over the living room floor. RV was not the same one pictured on the site. a lot of differences. We have pictures to prove. Sandra & Hector were very nice but did not offer an explanation of the different RV, or inform us before we stayed that it was not the one pictured and paid for. Not happy, but survived, Mary and John Benjamin

From the moment we came across this place it was love at first sight! So peaceful, full of nature, away from it all, its truly a very special place I like to call "my lil peace of heaven"
