Queen beds and 2 full size bunk bedroom for children of all ages.

Full kitchen with vaulted ceilings and our great room has a cozy gas fireplace. WiFi for Netflix, smart TVs are in all 3 bedrooms and the great room.
The Ivy Cottage, was our first build. It's named after our youngest granddaughter Ivy lynn.

The Ivy cottage is a modern style barndominium with white shiplap walls, sliding barn doors, gas fireplace, full size kitchen, dining area, living area, 3 bedrooms ( 1 with full size bunk beds), 2 spa showers and baths. Outside there are 6 rockers on the covered front porch to relax and enjoy nature at its finest. On the back deck we have a large fully covered dining area and large hot tub. outside the back deck is a fire pit and chairs for everyone to enjoy a cozy fire while roasting hot dogs, or having smores. We also have a gas grill with grilling utensils, outdoor games and swing.

Beautiful Cabin, Comfortable Stay with Some Minor Adjustments Needed

We stayed at this cabin for a wedding nearby and overall had a pleasant experience. The cabin itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and we encountered no issues with check-in process, which was seamless. The location, while scenic, is off a very winding road which can be challenging to navigate, especially at night. It took us some time to find it in the dark, so I would recommend arriving during daylight if possible. One major drawback for us was the lack of closets or hangers to hang our clothes. This made it inconvenient to store and access our clothing during our stay. Additionally, there was no iron available, which was disappointing as we needed to prepare our outfits for the wedding. Another downside were the bath towels provided. While plentiful, they were of poor quality and did not absorb water well at all. I would suggest to the owners or caretakers to avoid using fabric softener when washing the towels, as this might improve their absorbency significantly. Despite these issues, the cabin itself was very comfortable and provided a cozy retreat during our time here. Addressing these minor adjustments would greatly enhance the overall experience and make this cabin a perfect 10 for future guests.

Perfect Stay

My husband and I stayed here for a short vacation to hike in Hocking Hills. This home cannot be beat-immaculate inside and out, every attention to every minute detail has been addressed, great location next to superb scenery and hiking with all the comforts of home and more! There was not a single “touch” that the hosts did not provide to make our stay ultra-enjoyable! We have been fortunate to travel extensively and have stayed in some of the world’s nicest hotels and rental properties. This home ranks right up there with them because of its charm, freshness, and the pride that the owners bring to its upkeep and maintenance. We highly recommend this property snd hope to be back again for another fabulous stay!

4 Day Getaway-Birthday

This was a great getaway for my wife and myself from the scheduling and booking to dealing with the owner with places to eat and visit. But once we got to the Cabin it was beyond our expectations! The cabin was beautiful and was very organized and had all the items we forgot and or did not bring. Definitely would recommend you stay on this property.

Beautiful Cabin!

This cabin is modern, spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated, and very well equipped inside and outside. It is also conveniently located within a 5 minute drive to Old Man's cave and the Falls. Highly recommend it. We look forward to visiting again!

Amazing Hocking Hills Stay

Amazing stay from start to finish. Stayed there with my sisters. The owners have thought of everything with this rental. Beautiful house and property. I’ve stayed at many VRBO retails and can usually pick out something that could have been better. Nothing here. We had a rainy stay and didn’t get to go out hiking as often. Very comfortable staying in and enjoying sister time. Diana was very helpful and responsive with questions answering before and during our stay. Will be back.

The Ivy Cottage was hands down the nicest property we've stayed in Nationwide! It is a beautiful home, in a gorgeous location, close to Old Man's Cave, and has everything one could possibly need. I want to build this home and have these owners decorate it! Perfection!

Beautiful place, great amenities but u will be watched and guest count will be monitored.

Overall this cabin was phenomenal. Well decorated, beautifully situated & great amenities. The owner was accommodating letting us check in a early to set up for a surprise birthday. I’d love to leave a 5 star review like a previous reviewer said, you will be watched. A couple days ahead, I got a stern message tha we could only have 6 people MAX & I needed approval for anyone additional, even though it easily sleeps up to 9. Unfortunately it was too late to schedule anything else & I only had 3 couples staying + myself which I replied. However, I also had another couple helping me set up and staying for dinner that weren’t staying the night. They left before the last couple arrived, so there were never more than 7 people on the property but due to the tone of the message, I was a nervous wreck thinking we’d have issues if the other set of friends showed up early or if the ones leaving may be too tired to drive back and asked to stay. The first night was fine, but I received a text the next day that her husband happened to “drive by” (funny because it’s not visible from the road) and mentioned he saw a tent and asked if we had “extra people staying”-we didn’t. I understand it’s atypical, but one of the guests is a former park ranger and preferred to camp. The listing said nothing prohibiting it so we didn’t think this would be an issue. I understand if they were concerned about safety but the way the text was worded it made us all uncomfortable as it was clearly a segway to mention concern about damage to the grass which was perfect when we left & to question the # of ppl. It put a cloud of anxiety over the rest of the trip which was NOT cheap. I understand worrying about your investment property, but minus using the linens, the place looked exactly as we arrived. We were respectful, cleaned, swept, and put away all the dishes etc. We paid a hefty fee for cleaning, plus an additional insurance policy that was required that should give the owner peace of mind. I’m assuming that there’s liability coverage that you need as an owner as well. Point being, there’s a certain point where you need to just let people be and accept the risk you’re taking when you lease out a property. I don’t think it was appropriate to micromanage the exact number of guests or to check in on us. If you don’t mind being watched, by all means stay here. This property and amenities were top notch, it really was beyond amazing, just know you’ll be monitored.

Excellent vacation property

This house is so beautiful. Perfect for a small family (we came with 3 kids) or a couple. Every detail has been thought out, and the design is amazing. Everything is labeled, organized and clean. The only drawback is that the barn doors make sound a slight issue if you have people trying to sleep at different times. Other than that, everything was excellent. It even smells good when you walk in! And there was a delicious welcome basket. The owners are very responsive and friendly. Thanks for a great week!

Great Hocking Hills spot

Ivy Cottage was fantastic! The property and the grounds met all our expectations. The host did a great job making the cottage little kid friendly and my kids really enjoyed exploring the toy treasures to find. It was a wonderful escape and the perfect location to all the best trails in Hocking. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful, but unfortunate.

I’d like to start off by saying this property is beautiful. The cabin is well appointed and fully stocked with everything you’d need. It’s located in the heart of hocking hills, close to hiking trails and other attractions. Having said that, the owner of the property was incredibly difficult to work with. We rented the property for a commercial video shoot and, from the very beginning, ran into issues. Prior to booking, when asking questions about the property and surrounding area, we received terse responses. During the booking process, we were late making the second payment (not realizing there was a payment schedule and not the full amount upfront, obviously a mistake on our part and not an intentional miss) and instead of helpful interactions we were met with late night text messages threatening to cancel the booking if the payment was not immediately made (which it then was). We adhered to their strict parking rules, agreed to additional fees upfront for deep cleaning to have a dog on set and were berated when the dog entered the cabin (an issue which we very quickly rectified), and were closely monitored throughout the day on their camera system. We booked the property for two nights and the owner was furious to hear that one of our crew members thought to stay overnight after our shoot wrapped in the evening (he obviously felt too uncomfortable to do so after the interaction). Personally, this was my first experience with VRBO and it was an unfortunate one. Many of these situations could have been avoided with a kind interaction or helpful words from the host. Perhaps antagonizing guests is not the way to successfully operate a rental business.

Perfect Location

The Ivy Cottage was the perfect spot for our family get together! We enjoyed being close to the hiking areas. The back deck, hot tub and yard were great for relaxing and playing yard games. Everything we needed for the weekend was provided and it was spotloss!

We are Nestled on 30 acres of wooded terrain in Hocking Hills, Logan Ohio. We are right on OH-664, just 5 driving minutes from the entrance of The Famous Old Man’s Cave. (There is no walking trail from our property to Old Man's Cave)



The property is also gated for your security. There is also other cabins located throughout the property. You will see a sign on a tree after entering the gate on where Ivy Cottage is located on the property.
