We welcome you to stay in luxury at the Captain's Quarters on Lake Oconee! Just opening in 2024 this gorgeous cottage is the newest of five cottages built for our guest's enjoyment! Sleep five in two master suites and enjoy days on the lake with your own slip on our dock, and a relaxing evening around the perfectly positioned Cottage Cove pool.
You're on lake time in this TWO MASTER SUITE YACHT ON LAND! One king master bedroom is upstairs and one king master bedroom is on the terrace level and offers a twin day bed!
You'll enjoy a fully equipped kitchen on the main level, and outside porches on two levels with fireplaces and tvs, you won't miss the gorgeous sunsets or the big game! Enjoy your mornings on the lake, with two complimentary kayaks, afternoons in the yard playing cornhole (boards on site) and nights sitting by the fire or playing board games! Additional Details:

- Are you envisioning never leaving the cottage?! We have you covered with a Private Chef! Whether you are looking for a Private Chef to entertain your crowd while cooking in your own cottage kitchen or dropping your favorite meal at the door! We have you covered! You will work directly with the Chef to customize your needs at an additional fee.

- The pool may be heated upon request for an additional fee of $75 per night, if you would like it heated for arrival time please notify the host at time of booking or at a minimum 48 hours prior to your arrival.

- Our guests will enjoy a max dock for fishing, boating, kayaking (two kayaks are here for you), and swimming. As well as a beautiful pool and pavillion for relaxing and cooling down after a day on the lake! Bring your own boat or have one delivered to your dock for you!

The perfect house for a relaxing getaway

We wanted to move in! The home was perfectly clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and had plenty of space to store our groceries. Great fishing from the shore and a nice calm cove for the provided kayaks. Already planning our next visit!

Loved this house and the outdoor amenities!

Great location and the house exceeded our expectations. Very clean and outdoor amenities made it feel as if we were staying at a resort. Our host was very responsive in helping us with recommendations for dining and lake activities. Highly recommend this house for family and friend get togethers... great memories made!

Everything about our stay at Sunset Cottage was perfect!!! Plenty to do at the cottage, the immediate area, and just over an hour to Atlanta. Our only complaint is how fast the week passed by! Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful property!

Birthday Celebration 🎂

The experience was AMAZING!!!! Very clean and extremely comfortable. We even enjoyed fishing in the lake. It's very convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. We look forward to visiting the house of luxuries again.

Great house and location!

We loved our time at this house on the lake! The house and furnishings are like new, with a fantastic porch where we spent most of our time. The lake view was very nice - a good balance of activity and peacefulness on this part of the lake with a great dock and swimming directly off of it. Kerri was super helpful and very responsive! She is one of the best property managers we have had the pleasure to rent from.

Amazing New house. Very Clean, and in a perfect location!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Eagle's Nest cottage over the week of the 4th of July holiday. We were stunned when we arrived late Friday night at just how new and amazingly decorated and clean the house is. The bunk bed room was perfect for the 4 boys we had! The outdoor spaces were perfectly appointed and a ton of fun was had by the pool, fireplace and down on the dock. Having the dock there and being able to rent a boat for the week and just keep it right on site was so convenient and turns out, the perfect tubing spot is right outside the cove where the house is so couldn't have been a better or more convenient location. We did end up grabbing a few extra essentials (like bug spray, extra trash bags, some basic fishing poles for the kids, etc) and left them for future guests. We came from Southern California and our first trip to Lake Oconee left such an impression that its now on my list of places to build or buy a Lake home! It was in large part due to our outstanding accommodations and again, the location. If you visit, look up Chef Lamar Kersey as we had him come cook multiple meals for us including an amazing 4th of July BBQ spread. Many of our kids called our time at Eagle's Nest our best vacation to date. I highly recommend this property!

Excellent getaway vacation rental!

The house is beautiful, the owners are very responsive and genuinely care how your stay is going. The house is equipped with everything you could need and is very clean and inviting. The kids had the best time fishing off the dock and caught quite a few cat fish. We spent our days on the boat we rented and were within close distance to the marina we rented it from. When it was raining there were plenty of board games to keep the kids entertained. We always love coming to lake Oconee. It’s beautiful, the people are friendly and it’s the perfect place to relax. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

Wonderful!

We loved this house! It was beautifully decorated, and so clean and comfortable. It was a great fit for our family with children. We loved the layout of the house. We enjoyed the great back yard and fire pit. We loved boating, swimming, and fishing off the dock. We hope to come back again!

Best stay ever!

Sparkling clean but not at all sterile. Lots of thoughtful touches -- very upscale homey. Super relaxing environment -- morning coffee overlooking the lake, afternoon naps on the loungers, cocktails by the firepit or on the dock, dinner on the porch. Loved it so much we extended our stay! Kerri is fantastic to work with -- very responsive and focused on ensuring guests have a wonderful time. We would definitely stay here again!

You will not find a better place on the Lake . Very clean. Still smells brand new. The owner was extremely cooperative and a great communicator.

Hidden Gem

What an amazing time we had at the Sunset cottage this week! We came with our kids and another couple and their daughter and there was plenty of space for all of us. The two separate floors and living spaces were perfect! There is a convenient kitchenette downstairs, and a bunk bed room that our boys loved. We rented a pontoon boat for a day and toured the lake, made s’mores at night at the fire pit, and watched movies on the porch at night in front of the fireplace. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook homemade meals and the grocery store was only 10 minutes away. The coffee maker didn’t work and the owner brought us a new one right away! We took walks, went fishing on the dock, and spent quality time together. It was exactly what we needed and we will definitely be back!! Kerri was an incredible host, easy to reach, and super helpful. Thank you so much

Cozy Cottage!

I spent an amazing birthday weekend at Sunset Cottage! I had a special trip planned to go to St. Lucia with 10 friends. With everything going on with international travel restrictions we decided to cancel our trip to keep everyone safe. I looked at several homes to rent for a memorable birthday weekend. I considered the Ritz Carlton at Lake Oconee. Then my husband found Sunset Cottage. What a Magnificent Cottage! New, pure luxury, with spectacular views of the lake. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more. The beds were so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. We took advantage of the gas grill for meals. We chatted on the patios and by the fire pit. The Cottage has the most amazing views from every room. I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday weekend and can’t wait to plan another trip to Sunset Cottage!

Awesome stay

The house was beautiful! The views were amazing! A fun time was had by all. The only drawback was there was a strong sewer smell outside. Maybe the neighbors have a problem that needs to be fixed? I don’t think the smell was from the rental. Otherwise, this place was phenomenal!

Amazing Lake Oconee Stay

We have been going to the Ritz at lake Oconee for years and didn’t know how amazing it would be to rent a home. Plenty of space, everything was in perfect working order. Great location. We can’t wait to stay again!

Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. Upon arrival the house was spotless (clean, nicely decorated). Kerri (the owner) responded and clarified a few questions we had immediately after we contacted her. We have three young kids ages 5-9 who really appreciated the board games, the fireplace and grill at the deck, the outdoor fire pit, and fishing from the dock. To sum up, we would love to go back in the future!
