The property was clean, beautiful and had everything we needed. Check in was very easy and we didn't have any issues. We would book this property again. It was priced a little higher than other 4 bedroom homes we've booked in that same area, but it was a very positive experience. The patio isn't ideal for a toddler, but we were able to make it work.

The host is incredibly responsive and was communicative throughout our stay. The check-in/out process was smooth. Beds were comfy and the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you would possibly need to cook full meals. As a parent traveling solo with two kids, we felt safe and the location is perfect for playing at both the beach and the bay. My kids boogie boarded in the morning at the beach and then SUP’d in the afternoon on the Bay. However, this is a high-volume vacation rental and the wear and tear is beginning to show. Lastly, bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. I wasn’t fully prepared for how loud the air traffic would be for all the flight departures. Despite this we would happily stay again.

Thank you for the great review. We're glad S732 - San Luis Rey Oasis's location and our team's communication made check-in/out smooth, and that the beds and well-stocked kitchen met your needs. It's wonderful your kids enjoyed boogie boarding and SUP on the bay. We apologize the home's wear and tear was noticeable; we'll review this with our maintenance team and schedule necessary updates. Thank you for the note about air traffic — bringing earplugs is a good tip, and we'll explore additional noise-mitigation options. Thank you for choosing Coast Vacation Homes; we hope to welcome you back.

Family Beach Getaway

Perfect location and wonderful updated home. Kitchen is fully stocked. We were able to grill using the BBQ and have many meals outside on deck. Beach and bay were both minutes away walking. My two small dogs absolutely loved it as well as our whole family. Would stay again!!

Perfect

All the rooms were nice and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great area and much closer to the beach than I was expecting (like less than a minute walk and you’re touching the sand). The neighborhood was nice and very walkable. Check in and check out were both very simple and communication was great! 10/10 recommend

Great stay

Beautiful, clean property with a 1 minute walk to the beach. Belmont Park is a half mile walk. Lots of shops and restaurants walking distance. Sea world and the zoo are close as well. We had trouble with the fireplace and it was addressed quickly. Plenty of bath and beach towels. Wonderful location. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

The place was very clean and the host was quick to get back to me whenever I had a question. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans, but I wish there had been dish cloths and more than 2 small dish towels. There were plenty of beach towels but only 1 chair. I would definitely go again as long as it wasn't the hottest time of year since there is no a/c. Overall, the extended family found it a great place to be able to get together. It had an open floor plan which made it nice for the family to get together, whether in the kitchen, dining area or den area.

FAB PLACE

This was a great property to stay at. Super to have three bedrooms and bathroom on one floor and super suite with bathroom and tub upstairs with a deck off the bathroom ;) Loved the kitchen that has a ton of counter space and cabinets galore. We had five adults and three little ones from 6 - 1 year and it was perfect. So appreciated the four portable fans available for our use. Quiet area at night which was so nice. Short walk to beach. And plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys for the kiddos. We will definitely head back to this property on our return visit to San Diego.

Great House!

We stayed here for our daughter's graduation from SDSU. The house is in an excellent location, just a few doors from the beach and within walking distance of coffee. The house was clean, the rooms spacious and updated and the property management company was responsive. We really enjoyed our stay here and appreciated the beach chairs etc.The only thing that could have been more clearly explained in the description was the availability of overnight public parking. Those details were provided at check-in, so we were okay. I asked about it before arrival, but the answer wasn't as straightforward as it was once we received the check-in details. There is jet noise throughout the day, but it didn't take away from our stay in any way. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Beach Bungalo

Located just 1 block off of Mission Beach, this home was the perfect spot for our family Christmas trip to San Diego. In addition to being spotlessly clean when we arrived, the unit was also well equipped with simple essentials to make us comfortable (dish soap, toilet paper, paper towel, new kitchen sponge, etc.). The kitchen is large and well designed with a convenient island for prep. The grill on the patio was new, clean and in great working order. There was a second propane tank next to the grill just in case we ran low. The master bedroom is a three-room suite [bedroom | sink, tub room | toilet, shower] with vaulted ceilings, an enormous tub and double sinks / vanity, and a very large shower. The three other bedrooms are on the main level and are large and nicely outfitted. The unit is located in a quiet neighborhood at the southern tip of Mission Beach, very near the permanent beach volley ball courts and the lifeguard station. Ideal for beach time with the family. Mission Beach is near the SD airport and depending on the prevailing winds can get some air traffic noise. We loved our stay, the host / owner was delightful and we look forward to returning the next time we are in SD.

Beautiful but extremely noisy house

First impressions of this house were great! House was clean and well-kept and is super close to the beach! We were looking forward to some rest and relaxation, but the room at the top level of this beautiful house was incredibly loud. We were not able to sleep at all. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, ended up a stressful and frustrating one. Our standards are not usually this high, but when we paid a substantial amount of money for this house, we expected all of our needs to be met, and they weren’t. My husband has tinnitus and cannot wear ear plugs so he did not sleep more than a couple of hours at night. The planes were supposed to stop around 11:30pm, but didn’t until around 1:30am on Saturday… and during the day they were overhead and low and would fly over our heads every 5-10 minutes. It’s upsetting that the ad for this house downplays the airplane noises, when it was impossible to relax because of them!

AMAZING BEACHY GIRLS WEEKEND WITH THE KIDS!

We loved this home and had a great experience from start to finish! We arrived early and had rented some items for our baby and toddler from Baby’s Away and called to get the stroller early out of the home before the 4pm check in. We got an immediate response to our text and they had the stroller available for us within a half hour! The home is very comfortable and looks better in person than in the photos. The bedrooms are more spacious that the photos show. We loved the fully stocked kitchen and ate all but one meal in. There were lots of towels including beach towels for us to use. Although there’s no air conditioning, the windows have screens and there was always a nice breeze. Since we had little ones, the sound ordnance was helpful and the entire neighborhood was quiet as a mouse. We also got to see the fireworks everyday from Sea World from the upstairs window. The only problem we had while there was that the trash barrel was full when we arrived. I texted management and within the hour it was emptied. Also we forgot two of our little ones plush toys at the home. They found them and are mailing them to us! What a great home with excellent, responsive service! I highly recommend staying here.
