This quiet retreat offers comfort and security, yet is walking distance from Garden of the Gods Park, dining, entertainment and lies between Historic Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. Innumerable additional venues are within a short driving distance, and ski areas Monarch and Breckenridge lie a little more the two hours to the west.

For traveling Medical Personnel, most hospitals are within a 15 minute drive or less, just on the east side of beautiful downtown Colorado Springs. For Business Professionals, the West Side is a great place to decompress after a busy day.

I had a great time at the studio. Quiet and private while being close to grocery stores and all Colorado and Manitou Springs restaurants. Perfect location for all activities on Pikes Peak! Allen and Martha have been excellent hosts to me - thanks again for everything!

We highly recommend your VRBO! Very cute and comfortable. Centrally located and within walking distance to the bus stop so easy access to Manitou Springs, The Incline, Manitou Cog Railway, Old Colorado City and downtown Colorado Springs! Don't have to worry about parking fees. We would definitely stay there again!

Great Stay

Allen and Martha were excellent hosts. They were extremely accommodating and quick to reapond to any communication. The property was well stocked and prepared for an extended stay. It was very clean and cozy as well. The neighborhood was super quiet and really close to a lot of things like old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, and Garden of the Gods.

Beautiful and Cozy

We were looking for a place near Pikes Peak and local attractions. This small cozy and beautiful home was centrally located. It was situated behind the hosts home. We had our own private drive with a little outdoor patio area. Inside looked to be newly remodeled with updated appliances and new furniture. So clean and immaculate inside. We were highly impressed! If we decide to come back to this area, we will definitely stay again!

Well Situated and All You Need

This property is well maintained by Allen and Martha Young, who strike the perfect balance of neighborliness and hands-off management. I had only a couple of small cosmetic complaints, but Allen is aware and addressing them already. The kitchen was well-appointed. Note that you may use an electric skillet in lieu of a full stove. I found that this was plenty. The kitchen also has a microwave oven and air fryer, plus a full-size refrigerator. Location is perfect: a silent neighborhood with red rocks popping up between houses. Within minutes, you are on Hwy 24, in downtown OCC, Manitou, hiking, biking, good eats, etc. I strongly recommend this place.

We are located on the west side of Old Colorado City, a National Historic Registry destination, and a five minute drive east of Manitou Springs, also in the Registry. We are literally in walking distance to the Garden of the Gods (GOG) Park, a place known worldwide for its geology and beauty. Mule Deer wander onto the property daily, and Bighorn Sheep have been the stars of GOG this year, as they have ventured out of adjacent Glen Eyrie Canyon. There are so many places to visit, that any list here would be incomplete. So, come and stay with us and build your adventure day by day, in the brisk mountain air of Colorado.

On the practical side, we are ideally located. Most cities have their slogans, and our very local one is "The West Side is the Best Side". We are literally located next to the last jumping off place for the mountains westward. But beautiful Colorado Avenue eastward leads you to downtown Colorado Springs and Hospitals (for Medical Travelers) within 10 minutes of casual driving. This particular property is at the end of a game trail that leads through GOG into the mountains, giving an unparalleled mixture of city and wilderness experience. We know you will love it, and we will love having you here!
