À propos de l’hôte
Hôte : Braulio Hoyos
My name is Braulio, and I'm originally from Lima, Peru, a beautiful city with a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant atmosphere. Growing up in this amazing place has instilled in me a deep appreciation for diversity, nature, and the small joys of life. One of my favorite pastimes is exploring the great outdoors—whether it's hiking through lush forests, camping under the stars, or just taking a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood. I'm also passionate about Volleyball, which has not only broadened my horizons but also helped me connect with people from different walks of life.
As a host on VRBO, I take immense pleasure in welcoming guests like you to our lovely abode. The reason I enjoy being a host is that it allows me to share my love for my hometown Long Beach and its unique charm with travelers from all around the world. I believe that every guest who steps into our home brings with them a wealth of experiences, stories, and perspectives that enrich our lives and create memorable connections. It's an opportunity for me to providing a warm, comfortable space for you to relax and unwind during your stay.
I hope you find our home as inviting and delightful as I do, and that it serves as a haven for you in Long Beach. I'm always here to help you make the most of your time in our city, offering local tips and recommendations to ensure you have an unforgettable experience. I look forward to hosting you!
Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
Cambodia Town is a culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood in Long Beach, known for its delicious cuisine and strong sense of community. Located off of a main avenue, our alleyway acts as a gateway to a tight-knit residential community. Our neighbors know each other by name and look out for one another, increasing the sense of safety. In the afternoons, you may see kids playing outdoors, hear some Latin music, or catch one of our neighbors barbecuing on the weekends - it all adds to the urban charm.
The biggest demographic of this neighborhood is Cambodian, African American and other people of color of lower socioeconomic status.
If you are not used to working class/low income communities of color in an urban setting, or If you are looking for a 100% serene and quiet suburban stay, this may not be the right fit.
Please note: there is prevalence of homelessness in and around this neighborhood especially after the pandemic. Long Beach experienced an increase of 62% in homeless population between 2020 and 2022, causing the mayor the city to declare a state of emergency on homelessness early in 2023 to tackle the issues head-on.
Lastly, most of our neighbors have big dogs in their properties that will bark loudly at you and run up to/hit the fence as you walk down the street, which can easily startle guests. But don’t worry, they cannot get past their fences so they won't get near you. They are actually very friendly and just being protective of their home, that’s all!
