It was such a fun getaway. The property is so close to main plaza which conveniently has everything. Food 4 less Market, chase branch, wells fargo and BOA atm, restaurants, cvs pharmacy, retail stores, fast food, starbucks all within walking distance. Theres an orange tree and avocado tree. Oranges are sweet. We made fresh orange juice. Im not a homeowner myself yet, but there was a moment as i was hosing down the drive way- i thought to myself "ahh this is the life, the point where we made it" host was cool as fk. Didnt bother us even though we had to extend one extra night. We really bad the whole property to ourselves.

Cozy

I would recommend this place, clean everything you need to enjoy and the neighborhood very quiet, the area accessible to go to the shops, I would definitely return to this place.

It was really nice!

The house was nice and spacious and the front yard area was big~ the neighborhood was quiet and felt safe as well. There was only a small issue with one of the showers never getting hot, but other than that it was a great place to stay at!

Excellent House

Super cute house. And perfect host! Cold water and Keurig cups were there and ready for us to use! A/C, wifi worked well. We didn't cook but there were plenty of dishes and utensils. Laundry worked great, plus... There was an orange tree with about 3,000 oranges on it - some of the best oranges I've ever had!!

Cute, cozy with an orange tree!

Check in was super smooth and easy. Loved the location and the gate in front just to give us a little safety net. The house is older than what the pictures show, all beds were comfortable, house was clean upon arrival and very spacious. A few downsides: we couldn’t use the fans/lights in a couple of rooms as needed, one of the showers was pretty unsafe to stand in, the washer is a lot older and wouldn’t drain correctly, for the amount of people and days I wish we would of been left with more trash bags and toilet paper.. nothing a quick trip around the corner couldn’t take care of though. Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home!

Perfect for a quick stay

My family and I stayed for about 4 days. I love that it was gated and they had cameras. What I didn’t like was that the AC was off when we arrived the house was extremely hot given that it was extremely hot outside and we arrived at night. We traveled all the way from Texas (25 hour drive) we were exhausted and just wanted to rest the first night however it was too hot to do so. I can say though in the morning it was nice and cool only downside is that we had to leave all the bedroom doors open in order for the rooms to stay cool. The area wasn’t too bad there were a few stores really close by and a great taco shop not that far. Don’t get me wrong it was a great stay besides the first night being too hot for us.

El Monte stay

This was the lowest price I could find and I love the fact that my family and I were all able to share a space under one roof. The avocado and orange tree were a nice touch. Big spacious front yard. The property is gated, however it’s not automatic so you would need manually open and close it. The property is situated in a trailer park community area but I did feel safe and didn’t run into any problems. However the pictures online were misleading. The home was pretty dark and dated. We found several baby roaches in the bathroom and a few adult roaches about 1/2 inch big. We had to kill it at night. While showering, out of nowhere, the water would go from warm to scalding hot then super icy cold. Lastly the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain well. Water would fill the sink and take forever to drain.

Okay Place & Area - dirty house & poor communication

I can't recommend this properly mostly due to the owner & the poor communication with them, as well as the total lack of cleanliness other things not up to code. The breaker panel & other important things were painted over, the house smelled faintly of smoke all over when we arrived, there were bugs both alive and dead all over the house. the dishes were all dirty and unusable, and we had to buy dish soap and sponges in order to eat. The rules of the house were mostly fair but the host tried to overcharge us extra money after we'd already paid due to our in laws (my wife's brother and his spouse) stopping by one night to see us. All around a weird situation, somewhat rude, fairly dirty: but there were also a well stocked bunch of towels, extra blankets, etc. but overall i would not recommend staying unless it's the only place still available, in which case it'll be okay just be aware.

Throughout your stay, I was responsive and available for communication at any time, and I would’ve been happy to address any concerns had they been brought to my attention directly. Regarding cleanliness, I take guest feedback seriously and will be revisiting my cleaning crew to ensure that future guests have a much better experience. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. As for the home itself, yes—it’s a recently remodeled property, and any painted surfaces, including the breaker panel cover, are purely cosmetic and up to code. About the additional guest charge: Like most short-term rentals and hotels, any extra overnight guests beyond the confirmed reservation are subject to a small fee. This policy is clearly outlined in the listing. Your wife’s brother and his spouse stayed the night, and I only applied a one-night additional guest fee, which was communicated transparently. I understand things may have felt unexpected, but our policies are in place to ensure fairness for all guests. Again, thank you for your stay and your comments—I’ll be using your feedback to continue improving the guest experience moving forward. Best, Reyna

Not the stay we hoped for

Three things I’ll highlight that made my stay unpleasant. 1. My five year old was the first to shower and didn’t realize once we hopped in that there was hair in the shower. Long women hair definitely not my sons. Not clean house 2. Saturday after 10 pm neighbors we’re throwing fireworks. Later at 4 am gun shots began what felt like it’s right in the backyard. Very terrifying. 3. Once check in instructions were sent we did not hear from owner. She didn’t reply to my till she sent the check out instructions. I get it you get what you pay for, I’m just glad we got out safe
