Our family is passionate about the beauty of the beach, the maritime forest, and the natural wonders of this area. Kure Beach, in particular, holds a special place in our hearts, with its rich history and stunning landscapes. When we think of our "happy place," we immediately picture Salt & Flora. Experience resort-style living at Ocean Dunes, a stunning property nestled between the breathtaking Atlantic Ocean and the protected maritime forest of the southern Atlantic coast. Enjoy the salty ocean air and the lush flora from your private balcony or take a short stroll to the semi-private beach, where you can witness marine sea life in its natural habitat. The property boasts three outdoor pools (seasonal from April to November) with one at your doorstep, and rainy days are no problem with a next-door indoor pool for swimming any day of the year. Enjoy a men's and women's sauna, a hot tub, gym, pickleball court, basketball court, tennis court, and kids' playgrounds all year round! Start your day with a perfect sunrise over a cup of coffee and end it with a cocktail featuring the picturesque Carolina blue sky sunset at Fort Fisher. Explore the rich history of the Civil War, located within the historic property's walls of Fort Fisher, or bike to nearby Fort Fisher State Park and the Fort Fisher Aquarium. Pleasure Island offers world-class restaurants, family activities such as the Kure Bach Pier, Carolina Beach rides, shops, and boardwalk, and outdoor adventures like fishing, boating, hiking, and biking. Quieter beaches with amazing tide pools are perfect for small children, and if you are lucky, you may even spot a sea turtle hatching and the great migration to the sea. One of the world's most finest natural spectacles!!! Please be respectul of the nautral habitat of the turtles and remain clear of the sand dunes. The vibrant city of Wilmington, a cultural hub packed with live music, theatre, history, museums along with surfing, fishing, and breweries, is only 20 minutes away. With so many amazing activities and natural wonders, Ocean Dunes is the perfect destination for a memorable vacation.

This property is accessible. It is the only condo building on the entire island with elevator access. Salt & Flora is on the 3rd floor, accessible by stairs or elevator and comes with 2 car parking in the private bay, along with semi-private beach access, guest parking, and some beach equipment. All bed linens, and towels, soaps and shampoo are provided. - (2 per guest). We also provide a local wine selection to choose from, for our guests 21 and older, as well as premium local whole bean coffee, kuerig and loose leaf hot or iced tea selection!
