Forest Haus, an A-Frame Cabin

Summary:
Forest Haus is a recently renovated A-Frame cabin that's charming, spacious and has all the amenities for your stay. The name originates from Carly's German last name meaning "house in the forest" which is very fitting for this wooded retreat.

It's the best of both worlds. You can peacefully lounge in the cabin and it's only a 5 minute drive to explore downtown Saugatuck and Douglas.

The Space:
A cozy, thoughtfully designed interior for guests to enjoy. The layout:

- The first floor has two bedrooms with kings, one full bath, laundry, mudroom and a den with a tv and game table.
- The second floor has one bedroom with a cali king, one full bath, new kitchen, family room A-Frame, a new wood stove and walk out porch.
- The third floor is a spacious loft with a cali king bed, full bath (with skylights), chaise and desk overlooking the A-Frame family room.

Cooling: Mini splits on the second and third floors, tons of fans and windows. The cabin can still get hot in peak summer (best not to book if you need central air with a consistently controlled temp). To cool down, we recommend playing games in the den or taking a dip in Lake Michigan at Oval beach.

Heating: A new boiler and hot water system.

Guest Access:
Guest have access to the entire property and house except the basement.

The Neighborhood:
Quaint friendly neighborhood.

Getting Around:
At least four parking spots in the driveway and more right in front of the house.

The neighborhood street is very walk-able. On the main road to get to downtown, there are no sidewalks so we recommend driving.
