The Regency - Houseboat Downtown

Welcome to "The Regency!" You will be living the "sweet life" on this modern, impeccably built and designed houseboat that offers all the amenities of home, including two living spaces, a gourmet kitchen, two beds, two baths, designer furnishings, and a deck to enjoy the sunsets on the Cape Fear River. Close to everything! Enjoy an onsite restaurant and entertainment pier, where concerts and festivals are held. Stroll the Riverwalk for scenic views, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.

Guests will have access to the entire houseboat. There is a locked owner's closet for our storage, but you'll have access to the rest of the house.

Please be sure to review our cancellation policy prior to making your reservation. We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance at the time of booking.

The host was outstanding and very responsive to our questions. Home had everything we needed for our stay. Beds are very comfortable. Location at end of dock was the best with terrific views from the porch. Will stay again.

The unit was super clean and comfortable, Most of the local restaurants were within walking distance. The sunset views from the deck were fantastic.I would definitely book again.Also, the owner was very responsive and answered any question in a timely manner.

Breeze Abounds

We have stayed in houseboats in this area before but two things stand out. First, this houseboat is at he very end so there is not another boat beside you, so the breeze is constant, and the views are unbroken. Second, being at the end you do feel like you are on a boat on that rare occasion when another larger boat cruises by, which is actually nice, as we have tragedy in more interior units where you never get that sense you are actually staying on a boat. Other than these it was very clean and looked great. On the slightly less than positive side, parking is challenging, but if you pack efficiently you can move it all in one trip from a parking garage nearby.

Beautiful boathouse in the perfect location

This boathouse is in the perfect location downtown near the outdoor theater, restaurants and shopping. The houseboat is beautifully furnished and being the end unit, provided great views of the water. I will definitely book again.

Place is beautiful. Exactly as described. Great location as it's the last houseboat on the dock, so views are awesome. Would certainly recommend.

Absolutely Stunning

We loved our stay at the Regency houseboat. The location is perfect with great views of the river. The house is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Our only issue was the sidewalk is being rebuilt causing some confusion with check in and some more steps in an already long walk but the parking garage is easy to access and the community has wagons for transport of groceries or other heavy luggage. Overall we loved it!!

Such a fun place!

We had a great time with this fun concept of a house on the water. Communication was not very good with property manager is our only complaint.

Exceptional location and great house boat

We were there for a short family trip to ILM. This unit is much cheaper than others but appears just as nice. Pictures and description just as they appear and say. The HB is the last boat slip so awesome views of the river, downtown ILM, and area. The HB has everything you need. Communication with hosts was good as well. Beware it is a bit of a walk from parking to the unit but there are carts you can use to haul stuff/luggage. Would definitely stay here again!

Book it!

Don’t hesitate, book The Regency! If you’re looking for something a little different than usual, this is definitely the place. The sunsets from the deck are unrivaled. Internet is spotty, so bring your own hotspot if you need to work. Otherwise, disconnect and relax! Cheers!

Great houseboat

The views from this houseboat are worth it. Spent most of our time on the deck just relaxing. It’s a long walk to the end of the pier but you won’t regret it after you see the views! Comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen.

We will absolutely book again

We love Wilmington so much and normally stay closer to the beach. I am so happy we decided to stay in this wonderful condo houseboat closer to the riverwalk downtown. The views were incredible. This is a wonderful little houseboat community. The house was warm and welcoming and had everything we needed. Communication was thorough and easy to understand. Hosts were accommodating and provided great instruction. We will be booking again if available and I have absolutely told our friends and family. Book with them you will not regret it!!!

Great visit to Wilmington

This property lived up to its description. It’s very nice and the upstairs patio was heavenly. We watched fishermen in mornings; recommend binoculars! Outdoor music until about 10pm from nearby venues but it was fine! The inside was pretty soundproof. The parking is far for seniors but it’s worth the haul!

Floating Condo

Really nice and unique stay for special occasions. Highly recommend....best view at the Cove property (riverfront end unit). Great view of the river and Battleship Cove from the top floor deck. Excellent location if attending an event at Live Oak Pavilion (0.3 mile walk along waterfront).

January getaway

We had a wonderful time hanging out on the back deck for meals and drinks. The boathouse is well-equipped with dishes, etc. The check-in and out processes were simple. The sunsets over the Cape Fear River were amazing.
