Family

When we booked the house it was listed for 10 people. We even looked at the accommodation. Upon arrival the room for 4 persons changed from two queens to a king bed bed, so 4 persons had to share the queen bed, which created a problem. And do not expect the host to answer any of your emails. Also he changed the price per night since our original contract so we had to pay for 6 nights instead of 5. Never a sorry for the inconvenience. We also had to pay for drinking water. The gate to the property didn’t work till the last day. I still expect a refund or apology. Nevertheless we still had fun in the DR.

Hello and thank you for your review although it’s not correct. You neglected to mention that we remodeled the entire villa and you must admit it’s beautiful! We decided to provided 4 King size beds and add recliners, this was a business decision, it was not done to create problems for your family.. You rented the villa over the Christmas holiday which usually cost more. We updated our rate after remodel, you were charged the new rate because you changed your reservation from 7 to 5 days. I hope this clarifies the situation. If you wanted to discuss pricing all you had to do is contact us. You have our information. I hope you will visit DR again. King regards, Villa Bethney.

Exceeded Expectations

The outdoor living area was incredibly done nicely with comfort and privacy in mind. The lush garden was amazing. Great property for couples or singles. The Host David was very knowledgeable to assist answering any questions about the area. This property very clean and safe. I would definitely stay here again.

Best vacation

When I first got to the location, it was not quite what I had expected since I usually just stay in hotels and resorts. But it was in an excellent location. Very safe and secure. I lived more like a local than a tourist. The sites were breathtaking!! The pool is beautiful. The house is big and clean. There is a cook and the food is fantastic! Fresh fruits, avocados right off the tree....amazing!! I found myself feeling right at home by day 2. I have been all over but there's just something so lush and beautiful about DR. Beautiful people, culture, scenery. Already planning a trip back!

My Wonderful Stay at Villa Bethney

I recently stayed at the Villa Bethney and found the staff to be extremely courteous and always there when you needed them. The Villa was very clean and spacious. I would definitely stay there again and have recommended to my family and friends.

Quiet and Private Paradise

If you are looking for a quiet and private place to enjoy paradise with out all of the commercial interuptions; this is the villa to be at. Visit Monkey Jungle Zip-Line which is 3 miles from the villa and alot of fun for a great cause!! Also, Caberete is only 7 mins from the villa with beautiful beaches with lots of resturants right on the beach, eat and watch colorful kite-surfers. The cook at Villa Bethney makes delicious Dominican dishes, her english is a little poor but no worries her food says it all! This villa is in the middle of it all with Sosua just mins away (literally) restaurants, clubs and bars. The villa has a location for a activity for everyone: outdoor, beach activities, adventure, lay out by the pool the villa has or go to the beach.

Villa Bethney was excellent! Very spacious and relaxing. The pool was warm and refreshing. The owners and staff were friendly and very accommodating! Close to the local beaches and great places to eat. Golfing was superb! A super bargain and well worth it! I will return and bring more friends!

Beautiful property, private location, and very helpful staff

Villa Bethney is a short distance to downtown/waterfront but remote enough for privacy. The house was clean and the housekeeper (Maximo) was very helpful. I traveled in a group of 10 and the house accommodated us well. Highly recommended.

Hellians Golf Trip

This was an absolute enjoyable experience. The Villa accommodations are outstanding and are maintained in superior condition. The photos do not due justice to the surreal environment that actually exist at this location. The support I received from the owner and location staff was highly professional and technically proficient. I would recommend this facility to anyone without any reservations.

Didn't want to leave!

This place is in the perfect location and has the most amazing view! Beaches and bars were nearby, and the grounds were immaculate! The pool is a nice size and the kitchen afforded us the luxury of not having to go out to eat every night (saves $$$). The staff is friendly too! I will definitely come back when I get some more time off work!!!
