The Cottage on Kansas is a stylish retreat with cozy charm and whimsy, making it a perfect getaway for a weekend in Kansas City, girls weekend, or family stay.

The Cottage was remodeled throughout in 2023, including all new interior paint, resurfaced original hardwood flooring, stylish checkerboard accents, modern lighting, and design with a little personality and flair.

Exterior gardens offer two water features, cut flowers & veggies in season & chicken coop with 5 friendly hens.

Our host Molly had everything we needed in place for a top of the line VRBO experience-charming cottage interior and exterior with perfect location for historic downtown Liberty, Mo. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for visiting Liberty

The house is incredibly cute, very much not your typical generic homeshare, the location was excellent, and Molly the host was very responsive. 3 adults and one 2.5 year old had a great time. The chickens were a fun bonus.

Perfect cottage for a tennis tournament

We absolutely loved our stay at this historic cottage. The beds were some of the most comfortable that we have ever stayed in. The home was clean and comfortable. It appeared exactly as described online Molly the host is a delight to work with.

We had the BEST stay! The property was extremely well kept and clean. Very spacious as well. We stayed 6 nights and it felt like home. Our host was so nice and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed. Great place to stay!

Very cozy!

We loved our stay! Walking distance to downtown Liberty and a short drive to everywhere else! The house was so cute and we're sad we couldn't see it 'in full bloom'!

A great place to stay

We stayed here in order to attend a wedding in downtown Liberty. The house is within easy walking distance of the courthouse square. Molly is a great host. She answered all of our texts quickly. The house is very well appointed. We will stay here again.

Urban but tranquil

Nestled in Liberty’s historic district, but can be a nice quiet getaway. From booking till checking out a smooth seamless process. Host very considerate. Oh and the chickens served up some fresh eggs.

Awesome little cottage

The cottage was very comfy and the hostess was available for our question's. The chickens were an added bonus . So fun to hang out on the front patio in the evening with a glass of wine, very peaceful . Add the fresh eggs

Best little cottage in Kansas City!

Highly recommend staying here if you're in KC! My husband & I were in town for the Dodgers/Royals game. Molly might be the nicest host I have ever come across in all our years using VRBO. She left a super thoughtful gift for us upon arrival that just made our day! The cottage is modern, yet still has some of the charm that older homes have. Everything was super clean & it was well appointed. There are chickens in the backyard that are awesome! The neighborhood was great & close to anything you could need or want. We will definitely stay here again! Last but not least...Go Dodgers!

Simply Adorable!

This was such a cute place with lots of special touches! I met two of my friends from different states here for time to reconnect and catch up. We spent most of our time in the house except for going out to eat for meals. The owners made the simple very special
 There were drinks in the fridge, a small bar, snacks on the counter, and great communication. I would definitely recommend this to anyone for a quaint, cute place to stay. The beds were very comfortable and watching the chickens in the backyard garden area delivered an extra special treat!

A Visit With Dad

My sister and I made a difficult trip to see our Dad in his ailing health. This was a spur of the moment trip and I stumbled upon Molly's listing in the morning after looking for hours the night before. It was meant to be. We traveled from Chicago and upon opening the door, the feeling of warmth and comfort were immediate. There was a card and comfort bag, the home was immaculate, cute, all the special touches were there with snacks, beverages, towels, etc. We can't thank her enough for sharing her home with us during this time. We would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you so much.
