"Green Acres in Goode!" Forget your worries here in this spacious and serene terrace level apartment! It offers a full kitchen, 1 king bed, 2 twin beds (total 4 guests), 1 bath, fresh new carpet and private driveway in the rear of the property. A bonus room with comfy sofa and big screen TV allows a little time out by yourself! An air mattress can be requested for fifth guest ($25/night for fifth guest; infant also counts as a fifth guest.)
The well-loved New London Steak House is only a few miles away! We're close to colleges in Lynchburg (LU 13mi/16 min.), Blue Ridge Parkway, Smith Mt. Lake, National D-Day Memorial in Bedford VA, Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest, Historic Appomattox, vineyards, breweries and wedding venues! Lynchburg boasts many unique coffee shops and delicious eateries in the newly renovated downtown district!
The Lynchburg and Bedford areas are a disc golfers delight! With over 10 different disc golf courses in the City and surrounding areas, there’s no shortage of places to play. The courses range from 9 holes to 20 and all have varying difficulty levels.
LYH was the host city for the 2024 PDGA World Championships!

We are located in the pastoral countryside, and if you arrive during daylight hours, you will be treated to some beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and pasture lands. The night sky is perfect for star gazing in our back yard view. We think you'll love it! Although we are in the country, you will find that it is a quick 16 min. trip to Lynchburg and the Liberty University campus on Rt. 460! We are pleased to offer you an affordable place to stay.
For your safety, our property has security cameras located on the patio area to monitor the exterior of our home. Footage is private and is used to monitor occupancy and may be used for liability reasons. The front of our home also has two cameras for the driveway and front door. This is to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Be aware that we are a smoke/vape-free, and alcohol-free campus. Also, we have two cats who live upstairs exclusively. They never go downstairs, but take this into consideration if you are overly sensitive to allergens. You may, on occasion, hear normal household sounds, as well do live upstairs.

What a fantastic stay! Our host was an excellent communicator making arrival and check in a breeze. The space was lovely and welcoming as well as spotless! I really enjoyed the gorgeous view from the covered patio with a cup of tea for a quiet time in the morning when my family was still asleep!

A wonderful stay! Our granddaughter was (and still is) thrilled to find a toy puppy that had a "yours to keep if you like" sign on it. A clean, thoughtfully decorated unit with all the amenities you would want. A larger than king size super comfortable bed that was so wide that I couldn't even hear my wife snoring. Very attractive grounds with a nice view across the valley. Run by a personable couple at a very attractive price.

My husband and I stayed here while in town for a wedding. The host was very prompt at communicating. Check in was very easy. The property location was very easy to find with gps and her description in the directions was spot on. The space was larger than expected and just perfect for my husband and I. It was big enough that two more people could have easily stayed and it would have been enough space.

All pros, no cons

This is by far our most favorite place to stay while visiting our daughter in college. The hosts have thought of everything and all that you’ll need is here. The beds are extremely comfortable with plenty of closet and drawer space. The bathroom is filled with an assortment of towels, hand towels and washcloths. A few toiletries are provided with room to store all of your own things. The kitchen is a dream, is fully stocked and has everything that you’ll need for meal preparation complete with an air fryer!! It is quiet and there are two family rooms to spread out in and tons of books and games. This is a great place to stay and the host are easily accessible!!

We Enjoyed Our Stay

Interior was spotless. My mom and I enjoyed the patio. This was just a one night hop for us on the way to the beach. I had to drive a few extra hours out of my way to avoud the flooding in Kentucky, where I live, so it was really nice to be able to come in and take a long, quiet nap.

Spring getaway

Our stay at Green Acres in Goode, VA was just perfect. Marie has a lovely get away downstairs apartment which was situated near our destination event. Quick Getaway

Needing a place to stay for a few college tours in the area and decided on a VRBO instead of a hotel. This listing for our needs perfectly. There is a warm, cozy atmosphere as you enter the home. Amazing Stay!!

Weekend Visit to Liberty University

We booked this apartment for a long weekend visit to Liberty University. The campus is about 20 minutes away. There are hotels that are closer, but this was a wonderful value and well worth the extra driving time. The apartment is exactly as advertised. Actually, I thought it was even nicer. It was very clean and quiet. Lots of homey little touches. Everything was marked with specific instructions to make finding or using things easy. Lots of natural light as well as lighting options. Also lots of nice pluses, like electrical outlets on nightstand lamp bases, sensor nightlights to help find your way at night, plenty of towels, and bottles of water in the fridge. Our host was very easy to work with. I absolutely recommend and would book again.

Great Hosts

Overall we had a great stay. The location was beautiful and conveniently located between Lynchburg and Bedford. Our only hiccup was that while pets are not allowed in the apartment the owners upstairs have cats. For anyone with sensitive allergies you may want to skip this property. We would stay again except for the upstairs cats.

Quiet and spacious

The lower level walkout apartment was clean , spacious and was perfect for our family of 4 as we visited our daughter at Liberty. Our hosts were very communicative and even left us a little snack basket and cold waters in the fridge. I wished we had time to enjoy the games and exercise equipment which were a nice bonus .we will definitely stay here again .

Danny and Marie love having guests! Now that we're both retired (from the military and from health care), we can enjoy a relaxing pace in a gorgeous and peaceful place. The Lynchburg/Bedford region is a very family-friendly region. It's never a surprise when just about any neighbor will offer you a friendly wave as you pass. We love it here!

We love the beautiful, pastoral scenery here in central Virginia. It's away from the hustle and bustle of larger cities, with lots of fresh air and a mountain range nearby for hiking. Gorgeous Smith Mountain Lake (a man-made lake with quite a story) offers boating and other water recreation! We loved renting paddle boats when we were there! The region offers many historical sites. One of our favorites is Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest historic site (10 miles from here) which still has active archaeology digs and ongoing educational opportunities, tours and events.

We believe that cleanliness and practicality are the way to go. We want you to be comfortable, feel at home, and get some much-needed rest! This roomy terrace level apartment has a main bedroom with sunshine spilling in! We are only about 16 minutes from the Liberty University campus via Rt. 460E Expressway that leads straight to the middle of campus! If you continue down Rt. 460 E, you will arrive in Historic Appomattox where the Civil War officially ended! Ten miles in the opposite direction on Rt. 460 is Bedford VA, home to the National D-Day Memorial. Also of note is that we are only a few miles from the ever-popular New London Steakhouse! We hope you enjoy our spacious accommodations!
