Beautiful Long Bay beach, restaurants, coffee shop and tennis courts just steps away from your door. Take a short stroll to Apple Bay surf break, or hike 20 minutes to the crystal-clear waters of Smugglers Cove. Sip a cocktail at the beach bar while watching the sun set or take a bare-foot stroll on the white sand. Surrounded by stunning views and convenient for West End ferry terminal (ferries to USVI and Jost Van Dyke) and Soper's Hole Marina for provisioning, souvenir shopping and day-sails as well as local bars and restaurants. Tennis courts, spa treatments and, beach yoga practices available via the resort, daily pool passes available for purchase (not included with rental).

My perfect retreat

I really enjoyed being here and on the Island even though the location may be considered remote by some if you do not have transport then it is very easy to get a taxi. The views are stunning the people so lovely and the accommodation is in the most perfect spot. If you visit this property I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Great Stay!

Loved this gem in Long Bay. It was the perfect spot for us to use as our base as we explored the amazing nearby beaches. We mostly hung out at Long Bay beach by Nature Boy and at Smugglers Cove which were both minutes away by car. The unit comes with everything you’d need for the beach which was appreciated. The unit overlooks a beautiful pool that is part of the relaunched Long Bay resort. We are “beach people“ and were looking to maximize our beach time and therefore not too interested in the fancy pool. I do however, believe “non-resort” guests can purchase a daily “resort pass” for 100 per person when the resort has availability - If having a villa or hotel with daily access to a pool is important to you - either budget for the daily resort pass or maybe look at a different accommodation options. For us it was perfect!!!

Lack of Pool Access is VERY unfortunate

It is important to make clear that the Long Bay Villas have NOTHING to do with the Long Bay Beach Resort. Though the condo itself was quite nice (having 2 bathrooms was a plus), the fact that we could not enjoy the gorgeous pool area that we looked out to steps away was very unfortunate. Though the owner did mention in the very last line of the Notes section the pool was off limits, there was a photo of the pool area in the description so I assumed we could enjoy it. We were turned away by management even though we planned on patronizing the bar...a big loss for their staff. To basically look out to the gorgeous area and refreshing pool daily was TORTURE! I would not have rented had I known it was off limits...as usual, renter BEWARE. Also a note to the owner: providing 2 beach chairs for our use on Long Bay beach (chairs were only provided for resort guests naturally) and to take to other beaches would have been a nice touch.

Reach the summit of the hill and descend into Long Bay, you will be greeted with the most stunning vista in the BVI, and possibly the Caribbean. Long Bay Beach with it's white coral sand, swaying coconut palms and amazing sunsets creates the most picturesque backdrop, lending itself, an ideal spot for photography, the most popular location for romantic portraits, destination weddings and family memories, Long Bay has been my favorite outdoor studio for many years. The present beach restaurant, located in an old ruin dating back to 1748, exudes nostalgia for the days of plantations and sugarcane. Old stone walls are flanked with palm fronds and the sound of the surf rolling in just feet away. Sand crabs can be seen scurrying between shells and corals scattered by the waves that sculpt the shore day in and out. Walk a minute or two and cross the road to find Caroleann Villa nestled next to the pool and tennis courts, have a seat on the deck, where you can see the sea beyond and enjoy your own outside dining. Chat to the locals that live there (there are many) you will find that this a favorite spot for residents as well as visitors.

The location is hard to beat, being close enough to the beach to hear the surf whilst nestled in the beautiful gardens and conveniently close to the tennis courts and spa gives you the best of both worlds-footsteps from the beach but shady and cool, private parking and a roomy yet cozy deck makes the place feel like home.
