We felt right at home from the minute we got there. Justin and his staff could not be more welcoming, helpful and friendly. The place was really wonderful and right on the water with a beach on-site. So if you didn't want to leave, you didn't have to. I would be happy to return anytime.

Hidden gem of tortola

The property is perfectly located, less than about 10 minutes from restaurants, grocery & various beaches. Onsite pool and private beach felt like it was our own private resort.

Although a slightly older property and still rebuilding from the ‘17 hurricanes (the bar/restaurant is schedule to reopen in about a month), Fort Recovery is well appointed, clean, quiet, minutes from restaurants and amenities, and a beautiful place to unwind. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen has all the basics for cooking in. The pool and beach are small, but lovely with good snorkeling right off the beach. The gym is small, but with some creativity, a good workout is easy to program—dumbbells 2#-50# & cardio equipment: treadmill, bike, & elliptical (pro tip: go earlier in the day for cooler workout conditions). Justin, the owner, couldn’t be more helpful with dinner reservations, taxi tours, and other helpful advice. We will be back!

The property may not be 5 star, but for value for money (compared to the alternatives) it 5 star value. Excellent position providing quiet and private location, at least for rooms at the front position by the coast.

Love it here! Very accommodating, close to West End, near where we pick up our charter boat. Unit has everything you can imagine. The ocean right off your balcony!

Excellent management and staff. Rooms cleaned daily. No insects, even in the kitchen. Only issue is with Expedia listing showing restaurant on site when in fact it has been closed since 2017.

WOW - What a honeymoon!

What a gem this place is, sitting right in the middle of so many great island destinations, the Fort Recovery Villas were spectacular and the service even better. Justin and his team were so accommodating and kind towards my wife and I, really making us feeling welcome and locking in both of us for a future stay. Tortola as a whole is such an incredible paradise and we just adored our time at the Villas. Highly recommend booking your trip here!

Best location on Tortola

Just returned from a wonderful week at Fort Recovery Beachfront Villas … This property is located on the quiet side of Tortola with spectacular views of St John. Ourwas spotless, comfortable, and steps from the beach. The grounds and pool were clean and clear despite some very windy conditions. A rental car made it easy to tour the whole island, including some “exciting” drives up into the hills. Can’t say enough about Justin and his management of the property. He was helpful, informative, and responded right away to questions or concerns. We spent a lot of time just enjoying the tranquility of it all from our deck and highly recommend Fort Recovery Beachfront Villas to any one looking for a relaxing getaway. We miss the beautiful sunrises and sunsets already and hope to return soon.
