Classic Cottage in the Heart of Leland

Welcome to Katie Connor Cottage in the Heart of Leland

This classic home, named after my first two grandchildren, is located on a tree lined street along Lake Michigan and is less than 1500 feet from everything the village has to offer. Once you arrive, you can park your car in the driveway and not need it for the remainder of your stay. Easily walk to sandy beaches, “the Mercantile”, stores, restaurants, coffee shops, the harbor and the quaint area along the river known as Fishtown. You are also only steps away from enjoying the beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan that Leland is famous for.



KCC is a classic Leland home with an updated feel. The interior is bright and possesses all the conveniences you would need and expect. The modern look and design of this space gives you the perfect environment to relax and enjoy when you return from exploring the village. It has a full kitchen with all of the necessary items needed should you decide to stay home and cook during your stay. The furniture is new to the home and has been selected to help ensure both a comfortable and restful visit. A smart television and highspeed internet are provided for your streaming and gaming enjoyment. There is also a three-season front porch with two gathering areas to enjoy your morning coffee as well as the beautiful evening sky with drinks and refreshments. A wonderful way to end each day.

Lovely Cottage close to the beach

We had a wonderful week long stay at the cottage. Location is ideal and the cottage roomy, comfortable, and immaculately clean. Our hosts were super friendly and really made our stay feel special. Hope to return, a great place to enjoy all that Leelanau and northern Michigan has to offer.

Relaxing and charming cottage near Lake Michigan

We have been coming up to Leland for over a decade, and this property is one of the most charming we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is excellent, and the owners are a true treasure. My husband and I joked that we didn't want to write a good review so we could keep this property our secret. The location is great-walkable to everything. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Beautiful house and perfect location

This is the perfect place for an up north vacation. The house is immaculate and equipped with anything you might need. The location is perfect for walking to the beach, the town of Leland, and exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Pat and Mark were incredibly helpful and welcoming. On the drive back to New Jersey we were already discussing when we could come back!

KC Cottage Leland

We really enjoyed our stay at the KC Cottage. The location was a 5 minute walk to Lake Michigan beaches and to town. The cottage is very cute and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Pat and Mark were wonderful. They checked us in and showed us around the cottage and were very easy to communicate with. We look forward to a return vacation!

Perfect!

We had a wonderful time staying at this adorable house in the perfect location! The property is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and had literally everything you needed! It’s a very short walk to the beach and cute downtown Leland. Pat was a wonderful host and is the kindest person! We are already planning our return visit next summer. We had a wonderful experience staying at the Katie Conner Cottage — it truly felt like a home away from home. The location is ideal: just two short blocks from Van’s Beach and less than a five-minute walk to Historic Fishtown. It couldn’t be more convenient for exploring all that Leland has to offer.The cottage itself was lovely — spotlessly clean and incredibly well-appointed. We especially enjoyed spending time on the front porch, where we had breakfasts, dinners, and played games as a family. The kitchen had everything we needed (and more), and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like beach towels and chairs, which made our beach days effortless.There was plenty of space for outdoor fun; we played baseball in the yard and were able to store our bikes, golf clubs, and other gear in the garage — a huge plus.Pat and Mark were wonderful hosts. They met us at the house to show us around and welcomed us with a bottle of wine and delicious chocolate-covered cherries — such a warm and personal touch.We honestly can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. This cottage checked every box for us, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. We would very highly recommend the Katie Conner Cottage to anyone planning a visit to Leland.

Clean, Cozy, Walk to Van’s Beach

We loved staying here. The house is immaculate and every amenity you would look for is available. No expense was spared with quality either. Truly home away from home. Cooked several meals and had everything we needed. Enjoyed spending time having meals on the screened sun porch too, We loved walking to Leland and to Van’s beach. We also appreciated that it was more remote and quaint than staying somewhere like TC. We found it to be convenient to take little drives to get to all the great sights and activities. The hosts are just the sweetest, very helpful and responsive. Great coffee and food just blocks away. An easy, pleasant walk to shops. Plenty of good rock hounding on Van’s beach too. We even found some small pieces of Leland blue and petosky stones. Its a great rental. We would love to come back again. Highly recommend.

Great stay!

The location of the cottage was perfect! We loved being so close to Van’s beach, downtown Leland, and surrounding towns with many activities to do. There is a grocery store in walking distance as well as restaurants and shopping. Pat was a speedy communicator and swiftly addressed an issue we had with the front door. The place was very clean and tidy. We loved hanging out on the 3 season porch with the windows open. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The kids liked the path around the house as well as the front yard. Beds were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and appliances. Use of the garage was great for our bikes and we appreciated the beach chairs that were provided. The kids room is small and close to the living room so it was a little tricky for our light sleeper if we were in the living room after kids were in bed. We hope to be back to KCC and enjoy the priceless sunsets Leland has to offer!
