Great location/wonderful time

What a great time we had! The house was a perfect location! Had everything within walking or driving distance. The beach access is just down the street to the crosswalk. Not far at all. Rundown cafe is right next door. We have been there before and we love that restaurant! Beautiful views from the deck as described. The company is extremely responsive and takes great care of your needs! plenary of beach chairs provided!! Remember to bring extra TP, hand soap, paper towels and dish soap. :) Thanks for a great stay!

The pool was great for small children and a quick dip to cool off for adults. The walk to the beach access was not bad at all, maybe 5 min.Housekeeping could have been a little better, beds looked like sheets and bedspreads were thrown on but beds themselves very comfy. House could use a few updates. Laundry room outside is somewhat of a inconvenience and carport was in need of cleaning. Blown off or washed down. Overall great location and views were awesome!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 2nd year in a row at On the Beach. Love the home and location. The only negative this year was the remodel/construction that was being done on the home next door. Lots of noise from hammering, sawing etc. for several days while we were there. Other than that we had beautiful weather all week! Would definitely stay here again. Everything you could need is in this home! Only suggestions for this home is if the keyless entry was on the lower level door under the home and to replace the missing blinds on the entry level door where the keyless entry is located.

A relaxing week

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice house. Great ocean views. Short walk to beach access, although it's along the beach road with no sidewalks, so not a safe walk. Nice pool area. Need to walk outside to get to the laundry room. Ceiling fans in first floor bedrooms are very noisy. Several bathrooms were not cleaned upon arrival. Only one refrigerator, so if you stock a lot of drinks, there is limited space. Overall, a nice house to rent, but could use a lot of upgrades and maintenance.

Disappointed

Unit needs extensive maintenance and repairs. Upon checking in there was a leak in the bedroom. Pool was not cleaned - and when property manager sent someone over we were not notified. Guy who cleaned the pool was extremely rude. Umbrellas were broken and couldn’t be used. We own a rental in Destin and if our property management team acted this way we would fire them. Bri was nice! Too much money for poor quality. Outlets didn’t work in many rooms. Need new kitchen appliances. Need more than ONE bathroom towel per guest. Cracked kitchen tiles dangerous for guests. When checking out we’re told to “leave unit clean and tidy” - we paid for a cleaning! Would not recommend unless extensive repairs were made to unit. Pool is old ( needs repairs) and too small for number of people the unit holds.

Great place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was very clean and ready for us at the appointed time. The home has all the amities that you need plus more. The third floor balcony Was very comfortable and had great views. The hot tub on the street side was great to relax in at night and watch the traffic or the waves hit the beach. The new mattress were great and we all had a great nights rest every night. The house sits right next a restaurant so it is very convenient for lunch or dinner. They have a one or two person band on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The restaurant closes at 9 so it is not a disturbance. The fishing pier is close by and a Duck Donuts is a short walk from the house. The only problem we had was sugar ants in the kitchen. I notified management, but nothing was done. I picked up some ant killer and took care of it myself. The hot tub and pool guy stopped by during the week to make sure the chemicals were good in both.

Nice property but not as clean as we would have liked

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found this place to have a great layout for our family's needs. The two master suites on the top floor were perfect for the 2 sets of grandparents and the middle floor was great for my son's family. Except for the fact that there was no dead bolt on the door leading to the middle deck. Our 4 year old grandson could open that door and go out whenever he wanted to. We ended up moving the couch in the pool table room in front of the door to keep our little ones safer. Better child locks would be nice in a house that advertises good for kids with highchair, gates etc. The title On the Beach was a little misleading since there were another row of houses between us and the beach, although overall we were pleased with the close proximity to the beach and beach access. However, the living room furniture was very uncomfortable. Needs to be updated. Sat very low and was very saggy. The kitchen cabinets were terribly dirty. We ended up taking all of the dishes out of the top ones, washing them all and cleaning the inside of the cupboards. I found leftover food and dirty dishes. The floors could have been cleaner also, but I do understand it's difficult at the beach, not to have sand in the house. The pool was small for the number of guests the house could hold. Needing to go outside across the driveway to do laundry was also a negative. The stairway down to the driveway was very dark at the bottom and difficult to see. Plus it had a terrible musty smell. However the pool man that came to service on our check in day was awesome. He emptied the hot tub and provided us with fresh water in their which was super nice. Overall nice place and location but could use a little maintenance.

This house was the cleanest and in the best condition of all the houses we ever rented. The location was great. This was the first time we rented a house that wasn't beachfront and we were worried using a public beach access would result in a crowded beach. However, that was not the case. walking distance to restaurants and shops.

First time visit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my families first time at the OBX. The house was beautiful and the location was great. However one of the bedrooms upper master was covered in dog hair prior to our arrival. There was some sheets laying on the ground in the same upper master. The window shades weren’t darkening so everyone was up around 6 am due to the sunrise. Overall the house and stay was beautiful. Ample parking .

It wasn't cleaned. There was spots on the carpet. It could use a new stove. But other then that lived it!

Great house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pool, hot tub, pool table, PS3, ocean views, short walk to the beach. Kitchen has everything you need. Amazing DVD collection. Tv in every bedroom is a bonus for me time before bed for everyone. Only thing that can make it better is a screened in covered area over the hot tub to the house up too to keep the mosquitoes out on rainy days and evenings after it rained and there's no wind and also a gate at the top of the steps on the front steps since it's a pet friendly house.
