This two-bedroom, one-bath apartment was once the home of the Farmers Bank of Floyd's president, and it has been painstakingly restored in 2023 to its former glory. The original 120-year-old timber frames and wood floors have been preserved, while the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, and paint have all been replaced. The result is a stunning apartment that retains its 18th-century charm while also offering all the modern conveniences. Enjoy your morning coffee on your private deck.

A beautiful place in a beautiful area

My family and I stayed here for my graduation from Virginia Tech and it was the best decision. The surrounding area is beautiful and the place is stunning! The hosts made check-in and check-out super simple and contactless. The place looks exactly like the pictures and has a convenience/country store right next door; which was perfect for last minute snacks and a quick breakfast! I cannot put into words exactly how lovely and comfortable this place is. If we are ever in the area, I'll definitely stay here again!

I am the proud father of Three wonderful children 4, 5, and 21. My 21 year old is a senior at VA Tech. My hobbies include, ballroom, country and various other forms of partner dancing. I also enjoy working on and running RC Cars. I am a social person and like working with people. After working with Justin for 6 years, I was asked if I wanted to be the property manager and take on a new hat of responsibilities. I gladly accepted and I'm happy to help out in anyway I can.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We chose this area because of its central location, and of course, it's beautiful landscape. Floyd is less than 20 minutes up the road. Roanoke is about 20 to 25 minutes down the street, and Christiansburg is about the same. You will be extremely close to the Blue Ridge Parkway as well. If you would like to enjoy a breathtaking drive, the Blue Ridge Parkway is perfect. This scenic drive will take you into the heart of Roanoke.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This building was built in 1900 as the Farmers Bank of Floyd and still has the Vault and Safe downstairs. The President lived in this old school mixed use building until the Bank failed during the Great Depression. Most old locals recognize the building as "The Old Post Office" which it serves as until the 90's when the post office moved 500 feet down the road where it sat until 2021 derelict and deteriorating until it was restored to commercial space again on the first floor and this 2-bedroom apartment upstairs.
