The Charming House

Our Charming house is old and sweet home, built some time in 1950 in the heart of Belton. Belton is a fun town to get away from the big city life. This is a great place to come and relax. There is a California King bed in the master bedroom. Another room offers and adjustable bed, and the third room has a bunk bed. A fully loaded kitchen with a brand new gas range. The house is only few miles from Lake Belton or Still house lake. A washer and dryer to use. The home sit on one acre land guest access to fenced large front yard. The House is equipped with a Ring Doorbell on Front and Back Door and Three Cameras in Driveway Area for security of RV Carport Shed Area and street view the car port and rv are not part. There Rv in drive way where land keeper stays. You can park next to rv or on street.

Everything was perfect for our stay. We had dogs and they loved the yard. I felt they were safe when they went out. Will stay again in the future.

Host was welcoming. The amount of pet hair in the house was overwhelming. That is on me for not noticing it was a pet-friendly home and booking it; I will not do that again. All linens (sheets, towels, pillows) were covered in white hair.The listing states 2 bathrooms, and that is inaccurate. It should be updated to 1.5 bathrooms, as there is only one shower/tub in the home. That was a very important feature for my family since we had 6 guests, and I wouldn’t have booked this property if I’d known there was only one shower.

Great Experience

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Charming House. It was clean, updated and comfortable. The host responded almost immediately to the questions we had and the property was less than ten minutes from the cute downtown Belton area, I would stay here again!

Convenient to Wedding Venues in Belton

A cute small Texas farmhouse. The only downside you might want to be aware of is that the train goes by not far from the house as all hours of the night and blows its horn. If you wear ear plugs and use the Sound Sleep App on your phone, that will help.

Clean and comfortable

As advertised. Clean and comfortable. Good WiFi and TV. Needs to purchase some more silverware, as there's only 3 spoons and 2 forks. We bought some plastic ware for our use. But that's a minor thing and easy to fix. Overall very satisfied with the house and would stay there again. Thanks!

Not as described

The house is ok if you just need a place to sleep. It does not have 2+ bathrooms as listed it has 1 full bath and a half bath. In the full bath, the shower drain is extremely slow, about 1œ"-2" of standing water in the tub after 5 mins in the shower. And not just your water, filth from the drain is filling the tub. When we asked the property owner about this they said it was because of old plumbing. With this alone I would not stay here again or recommend anyone to stay here.

Nice updated house, would stay again

It has the charm of an older home but has been cutely updated throughout. Home was clean and inviting when we arrived. Didn't use the bunkbeds but the queen and king beds were comfy. Each room has a TV if parties want their own space. Host has thought of almost anything you could need in the house. Kitchen is stocked with most any cooking pan/utensil you will need and several coffee/espresso makers. Has bottled water dispenser for use. Bathroom is fully stocked with the essentials. **It should be noted it's not 2 full baths but a 1 1/2 bath** The host even graciously leaves DoTerra essential oils and some DoTerra product samples in the house. Not lots of parking if you show up with multiple vehicles and may have to park down residential street if you have a larger vehicle or multiple vehicles. Very convenient to Bell County Expo Center and short drive to pretty much any eating establishment in Belton/Temple area. Would recommend this house.

DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE

We actually did not stay,We were coming for our granddaughter 3rd birthday. Right before our trip our granddaughter was admitted into a Children’s Hospital with Vovid and RSv and was allowed no visitors due to how very sick she was. I explained everything to host who replied sorry. I then asked if we could come another time and they asked when. I gave some dates then was ignored completely after that. I then asked for refund (almost 500$) and their reply was read cancellation policy. Doesn’t matter what you have going on they’re keeping your money. We live 15 hours away and there was no reason to come. I almost understand no refund but I don’t understand not giving a credit. I’ve never seen a host do this and it was my bad that i didn’t notice or I would have never booked it because you never know what May come up. Very unprofessional!!!!!
