What a lovely bungalow so close to the IU campus and downtown Bloomington. Yes, you can walk to Kirkwood! All the amenities we needed, extras we didn’t think we did but very much appreciated and a very friendly host. Everything you want in a great stay.

So clean and cute! Communication with the host was wonderful and the house was supplied with everything we could need. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed playing the games provided in the living room. Wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the outdoor area. We will definitely be back again!

This was the sweetest bungalow! It was immaculately clean, comfortable and well-stocked with everything from shampoo to games to coffee. It felt like a home away from home and was an extremely comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

Cozy Bungalow felt like home

Excellent Stay

The Cozy Hoosier Themed Bungalow was perfect for our weekend away! The home is well-stocked with linens, paper goods, toiletries, snacks, and even homemade cookies! Communication with the owner was seamless and efficient! We were even granted early excess which was very much appreciated! Would definitely recommend bungalow!

Lovely home near the Bluebird!

My friends and I came into town to see a show at the Bluebird and found this great home just a short walk away from the venue. The place is super comfy and clean and had everything we could need! The home made cookies were delicious and lasted about 5 minutes after arrival. Very simple process to check in and out and we would absolutely stay here again if we’re in town again.

This home was so clean and welcoming - even home made cookies waiting for us! Well stocked for all of our needs. And my adult sons loved re-living their childhood playing PS2! Good times spent for my daughter’s graduation from IU.

Great location and all the amenities!

Went on a work trip and took a friend. It was a great place that was comfortable and fit our needs perfectly. Super cute. Really appreciated all the little amenities that were provided because I will always forget something! Lots of convenience, and homemade cookies :)

We were at the house less than 15 hours l, but the accommodations were very nice. Love the homemade cookies, snacks, coffee, and clean home. The IU theme was really nice since I was at IU many years ago.

IU Dads Weekend

Access to IU Campus was less than 10 mins. House is clean and has all the essentials. Host provided home made cookies and snacks was a nice add. Easy parking and we had no safety issues.

Practically Perfect in Every Way

We had such a lovely stay at this perfect little bungalow. The hosts thought of everything! They had coffee, snacks, and just about every toiletry you would need in case you forgot something. We were even greeted with chocolate chip cookies still warm from the oven. The location was great and incredibly walkable. My family and I are relocating to Bloomington this summer and I will be recommending this property for any of our future guests.

Quick Family Stay

I have very few "firsts" nowadays, but I can say, staying here, I had my first host bake fresh chocolate chip cookies! Between the bottles of water in the fridge, ice in the freezer, and various snacks in the kitchen, it was the perfect welcome. My family and I really appreciated the various ways IU was incorporated into the house and the layout was exactly what we needed. The only downside was we happened to be staying on one of the warmest days/nights of the summer, so not having any fans in the rooms was rough. Aside from that, the amenities were fantastic and my son absolutely loved the PlayStation and the classic games. We didn't get a chance to spend too much time in Bloomington, but whenever we come back, this will be the top of the list for places to stay!

I live right here in Bloomington and grew up here. I host because I too travel and use VRBO and decided I wanted to take the best of what I have experienced and provide it here. I am a cyclist and I collect and race vintage cars. I enjoy being outdoors.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This location is within a 5 minute walking distance to the best, largest, and newest, city parks. (Google Bryan or Switchyard parks). It is also a five minute walk to the new B-Line trail; a multi-use trail that connects us to downtown and Switchyard park. Along the trail is a distillery, numerous coffee shops, and a grocery store.

The location between the parks, the ease of parking, and the Hoosier/Bloomington theme with it's ample living room, thoughtful touches, makes this house stand out from the rest. We have taken the best of what we want in vacation homes and have thoughtfully added it to our bungalow. Ease of parking, and walking distance to restaurants and parks, make this location perfect for families. The Hoosier Bungalow is also only used as a rental and not someone's home, so you can make it yours for the duration of your stay.
