Escape to this thoughtfully designed tiny house on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, perfectly located just a 10-minute drive to Pāhoa town, about 30 minutes to downtown Hilo, and approximately 45 minutes to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. This cozy retreat is ideal for a solo traveler or couple, whether you’re visiting for a short getaway or an extended stay.

The tiny house features a unique double-loft layout. The main sleeping loft (8’ x 8’) includes a comfortable queen-size foam mattress, while the second loft (8’ x 5.5’) serves as a relaxing media nook with a large bean bag chair and TV—perfect for unwinding after a day of island adventures.

Downstairs, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and a private bathroom with an eco-friendly composting toilet. The home is built on a 24’ x 8’ trailer and is designed to maximize comfort and functionality in a compact space.

Guests also enjoy a private outdoor area with a picnic table, ideal for meals outside, morning coffee, or stargazing at night. This tiny house offers a peaceful, budget-friendly base for exploring the lush landscapes, black sand beaches, and unique communities of East Hawaiʻi.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! It was easy, fast communication and not far from town. Being out in the country was so peaceful. I will say, the mattress is just on the ground, so it is a bit hard. Other than that, it was wonderful!!

Unlike many off-grid stays, this home balances eco-conscious living with modern conveniences. The kitchen is fully equipped with a propane range and oven, and the bathroom features an on-demand tankless hot water system and a luxurious rainfall shower. A clear glass vessel sink and easy-to-use composting toilet provide a clean, sustainable experience without sacrificing comfort.

The tiny house is supplied by rainwater catchment and thoughtfully positioned to embrace the surrounding Hawaiian rainforest. Guests can relax in their private outdoor space, enjoy meals at the picnic table, and fall asleep to the natural sounds of the forest—yet remain just minutes from Pāhoa, Hilo, and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.
