Da Princess Inn - Walk to Downtown

Welcome to Da Princess Inn! Enjoy your stay at this cozy, refurbished cottage that is walking distance to downtown. The Univeristy of Louisiana, and all the local festivals hosted in Lafayette are all minutes away. The cottage has 2 bedrooms with queen beds that are separted by a Jack and Jill full bathroom. The living room has two couches that fold out to beds, too. The kitchen is fully functionaly with a range and refrigerator. If you are interested in relaxing outside, there's a quaint porch by the front porch and a separate area with a fire pit and more seating. Come stay with us and enjoy what Lafayette has to offer!!!

Excellent and cute little place. Would stay again. Couple small items could be improved. First aid kit is nice, but I'd trade that for a box of tissues. Lighting is pretty harsh. You can still buy incandescent bulbs 60W and under online (1000bulbs dot com). People are downstairs so was challenging with a little one to not be loud. Very nice overall.

Comfortable with everything I needed

I stayed here for a week long business trip. The was a nice kitchen with everything I needed since I would not have time for dining out. Very comfortable and great space.

Great place!

A friend and I came to town for a tennis tournament. I ended having to come in last minute from New Orleans for a 8 am match. The owner was super accommodating and let us check in early. The house is great and just a few minutes walk from all the places downtown. Just a great place to stay when visiting Lafayette. Would definitely stay there again.

Pleasant & affordable Christmas/New Year Getaway

The house was great as well as the host “Michelle,” even after the stay we were fortunate enough to meet with her and her husband. They asked how the stay was and if we had any feedback negative or positive about the house and everything was positive. Great stay and we will stay again

What a great place!

We are seniors and rented this darling home for 2 weeks. The landlords are great, very responsive and kind. We could walk 3 blocks and be in downtown which was really nice. I would recommend it whole heartedly

Cute Cajun Cottage!

Let me begin by saying Michelle and Tre are exactly the type of host you want! Upon our actual arrival to settle in for the night, let’s just say we encountered some housekeeping issues. I contacted Michelle with an explanation and pictures of my concerns. Never in my personal experience has a host gone above and beyond the way they did. They personally took care of everything, and then some. My husband and I were absolutely blown away by their quick, thorough, and thoughtful actions. My husband grew up about 15 minutes from this location, so we are quite familiar with the area. It’s very convenient to dwntn, hwys, and interstate. The property was very well lit at night which made my husband very comfortable since he was leaving a few days before the kids and I left. The beds were comfortable. The nearly blackout shades helped us to get some extra snooze time. The cuteness of this cottage is hard to explain in words, from the antique sink, to the huge bath tub, the original floors, it has so much character. We loved it! Michelle and Tre take great pride in their business, and it shows! They truly made our stay perfectly comfortable. We will definitely look to them anytime we come back to Lafayette. My only negative thing would be that we didn’t have the opportunity to make use of the fire pit. We ran out of time! Thanks again, Michelle and Tre for being amazing host!!!
