Peaceful, Family-friendly Lakefront cottage, sandy beach, quiet cove, w/dock

Family friendly Lake Hickory home with private dock and sandy beach. Only a few feet to the water! Peaceful setting perfect for families, couples, and small groups looking for a getaway. Serene views from almost every room. Sip your morning coffee or glass of wine from the screened porch overlooking the water. Enjoy the large yard and firepit. Home is on quiet cove off the main channel-perfect for kayaking, floating, and fishing. Home is conveniently located close to Rock Barn and Hickory Metro Convention Center.

The outside of the home is well maintained with a spacious deck and large screened porch. The deck has a dining table with seating for 6. The screened porch has a comfortable sofa and chairs to relax and enjoy the lake view with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The entrance to the water is only steps from the back deck. There is a wood burning fire pit also in the yard.

Inside the home is a spacious and well appointed 1700 sq. feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.

The primary bedroom is very large with a king sized bed and walk in closet. (Please note-the king bed has a latex foam mattress topper with a waterproof cover, in case of any allergies.) Picture windows overlooking the water and blackout curtains to help you sleep in. The private bathroom has double sinks, a jetted tub and separate shower.

The guest room has a queen bed and shares a hall bath. The bunk room has a twin over full bunk with a separate twin sized bed and is perfect for kids.

The living room is comfortably furnished and has a flat screen tv with streaming options. Plush sofa, a swivel chair and a recliner allow for relaxing after a day outside.

The kitchen and dining room have enormous picture windows overlooking the water. Kitchen has granite counters and an island with barstools. It is well equipped with everything you need to cook meals. The dining table will seat 10.

There is also a large laundry room with washer and dryer and space to hang wet lake towels and swimwear.

High speed internet is available in case you need to get work done or stream shows.

My small family was looking for a home away from home & we found it with this property! Stacey was extremely prompt while responding & was kind enough to accommodate our early check-in. Easter Weekend

This was our annual Easter Weekend. The access to the lake was easily accessible. The fish weren't biting. We enjoyed the paddle boats and the fire pit. The Pumpkin waffle makes were a big hit. It was a great weekend.

Peaceful Lakeside Retreat

This property and its host were exactly what we were looking for: close enough to everything we wanted to do in NC and a relaxing home base in between all of those adventures. This house comfortably accommodated our party of six, with comfortable beds, clean bedding, ample linens, a well-equipped kitchen, and a nice backyard to relax next to the water. The house was very quiet (bring a white-noise maker if you usually sleep with one), thanks to its location away from any busy roadways. We felt very safe and would absolutely book here again.

Lovely lake house with all the amenities

We enjoyed this house so much! We especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake, and the screened in porch! The house was just as described with everything we needed for a great stay! The bedrooms and beds were comfortable, the living room was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The decor was beautiful! The house is only 15 min from Hickory and we were able to go to the mall and eat out for a nice lunch! We did not get to enjoy the lake and beach area due to it being mid March and it was too cool! We hope to visit again in the summer so we dan enjoy the outdoors and lake! The hostess was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions and concerns. We will definitely come back soon!
