My husband and I so enjoyed our stay at the Maybell House. Cozy and well appointed. The privacy was perfect for relaxing! The hot tub and firepit also added to the experience. So grateful for the trial up to the Tiny Home! Perfect walking place and great view!We both commented that we would rent this location again.

Mental reboot

A wonderful, quiet retreat within driving distance of shopping, food and tavern. Everything was so nice. Beautiful renovated little cottage that was just what we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay and the grounds were immaculate. Great hiking and photo ops.

This was a tastefully decorated cabin, with very comfortable beds and very well stocked kitchen. It is the perfect place to relax on the porch in the quiet of the countryside and unwind. About a 30 minute drive to both Boone and Blowing Rock. Would recommend this beautiful cabin for anyone needing time to relax at a very comfortable countryside home.

House was modern yet rustic, extremely clean, and very warm and cozy. It is very private, and a great getaway for couples. We had an absolute wonderful weekend here. We would definitely go back!

What a lovely home and property. Very clean, comfy, and well appointed. It is very close to some local hotspots and a beautiful high side hill view of the river. The barn on the property adds to the overall country charm of this place. My wife and I will be back.

Very nice. Beautiful property. Beds and pillows are great! Great communication from the owner. I would definitely stay again. Only thing you might need to know is It only has a window unit for ac, which is not uncommon in mountains. There is not water access at the cabin, but there are hiking trails.

Wow! This is by far the best cabin we have ever rented. It was beautifully decorated and located in the most serene location. It was secluded from others, and overlooked the most beautiful river. We didn't want to leave. My husband and I have decided that we will always look to see if this cabin is available for any future trips we make to this area. We highly recommend this rental!

Perfect Mountain getaway

We loved this property and everything about it. We have two children 3.5 and 17 months who loved exploring the land. Love the area with the park and creek close by for fun during the day and close enough to Boone for a quick meal.

Glorious Peace and Quiet

My sister-in-law and I needed to get away for a quick weekend and this place was perfect. Beautifully decorated, clearly well cared for and planned, and all the amenities and touches you would hope to have at a home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace, and the spacious kitchen . We would absolutely stay here again! spacious kitchen.

This was our 4th stay at Maybell - and, as always, we were welcomed into a perfectly clean, comfortable, and well-outfitted cabin, on what may be the finest property that VRBO has to offer. It simply feels like home. Never a shortage of things to see and do. Baker and Kate are great hosts!

Heaven in Valle Crucis

Our kids loved rolling down the hill while we took in the spectacular views. We picked up some local produce down the road and cooked the best summer meals in the well stocked kitchen. Felt like kings and queens here! Thanks for providing such a lovely space for us to spend time together as a family.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

On the Watauga River, the cabin is situated near a rural farming neighborhood. Fishing, canoeing or swimming in the Watauga River is very convenient. Bring your mountain bike and enjoy the gentle grade of the Watauga River Road ... or for a little more adventure, let us recommend a nearby trail that fits your abilities ... And if road biking is your passion, find out why Lance Armstrong said of our area '...I'd say it's the best area for training in the whole of the United States.' (Cycle Sport June 1998).

Shopping at the historic Mast General Store is only 2 miles away.

Restaurants of all types are in nearby Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock as well as a few in the village of Valle Crucis itself. Hiking trails are available onsite or within a short drive.

And during the winter months ... Three ski resorts are within a 30 min. drive. Cross country skiing onsite is available if snow conditions are right. Snow tubing is an option for the non-skier at some ski resorts nearby.
